I don’t care much about the look compared to the old wiki, other than the incredibly silly amount of wasted space on the page and narrowness of the main body, but there’s a tremendous amount of info that’s just… gone. Not even touching on the pros and cons, but things like takeoff and combat flap rip speeds, engine power, supercharger gears, etc. A heap of info that’s just gone. It’s silly.

I like the new ‘design’ but not being able to see all the stats for missiles bothers me. There’s no ‘G’ rating for them at all

the new design is no less confusing to navigate, but now simply lacks large amounts of information. It is also no longer possible to do many useful things such as for example clicking on the name of a missile on the page of a jet and going to the missiles page (I did this a lot).

I agree, and the article section is poorly utilised. I hope they make it so that WT creator videos on aircraft also occupy the section, as it gives a lot of relevant information that the wiki itself is lacking.

I hear you. I think the new one has the potential to be better than the old, but I am sort of nostalgic for the old wikipedia style site. One thing I do not like about the new site is the infinite scroll of unrelated topics that shows up. I don’t know why we think everything needs a scroll feed these days, but I was not happy to see it* on the wiki.

The old wiki is still there. I was kinda livid when the list of every missile, and if it could be radar slaved. vanshed. it turns out if you just add an “old.” to the beginning of the url it works fine.

I don’t object to the new WIKI but I strongly object to the ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE loss of information!!! The old wiki gave lots of good information on guns, ammunition and missiles and even had pages comparing the entire AIM-9 family, the AIM-7 family, etc. It’s all gone in the new wiki. The new wiki looks nice but that is all it is, is looks. The old wiki was actually useful!

The new “wiki” barely even deserves the name; it’s a glorified social media platform that happens to have copied the in-game stat cards. No editing on a wiki. No search bar on a wiki. Vast amounts of extremely valuable info (tank ammo rack layout/usage, and many others already mentioned) just gone. Pages for weapons/ordnance, gone. Pages for families of vehicles, gone.
And that’s not even touching the layout/UI/waste-of-space stuff. It’s like the change to this new (much worse) forum, but even more egregious. They absolutely need a new team behind these decisions…

Weapon system articles are gone and replaced with stupid posts nobody will find
Finding articles is inpratical and family pages, though still exsistent are absolutely hard to find

yeah its TOTALLY horrible, and it has much less clickable links now. It doesn’t have any sub-text for specific categories like firepower, not complete historical review of vehicles too, just the useless intro…
I was totally fine with everything - forum, new player cards, but the wiki is damn ruined!

Yeah the new ‘wiki’ doesn’t meet the definition of a wiki.
The beauty of wikis is that anyone could spin up their own unofficial wiki if they wanted to.

The new wiki may look good, but the problem is that a lot of relevant data such as Max G and the separate flap speeds(take off, combat and landin Flsps) are not shown. Wax Speeds for Max and Min sweep positions are no longer given ether, these are data that are extremely important and may decide if you live or die. In my opinion the new wiki is a big loss for the community whether for new or old players

It is not longer available thru any links posted for it on this Forum, every link now takes you directly to the new Wiki, and all my bookmarks for pages on the old wiki now give me “Error 404” Page Not Found . . it appears they have completely sealed off the old wiki without porting over most of the information
