Yeah. I’ll get it, but probably wont spade it for a while. I barely play GRB as it is, farming any event puts me off the game for weeks, especially ground events
In my opinion 9.3 would be a better place for it because of the improved mobility.
9.3 is also stacked with light tanks, so adding one MBT there wouldn’t hurt either.
Either would be better than 9.7.
Chieftain 2000 was basically just the Chieftain 900 turret on a Shir 1/Khalid chassis.
The Shir 2 is basically a Challenger 1 minus the TOGS and with Chieftain sights.
Yeah and considering we just had a ground air and naval event im feeling pretty done in with grinding.
I havent even started to spade the Kfir yet, and have done a bit of that T80UD/BE we got.

As a general rule of thumb, I skip anything that I dont think I will use. Unless its air, in which case, only if I can be bothered.
So the last event vehicle I grinded for was HMS Barham.
I’ll probably just spend the next 2 weeks CASing my way through this grind.
yeah i got the kfir and T80 as i thought the T80 potentially could get teh 3bm46 and go to 11.0 or 11.3.
the kfir I wanted for making the grind in isreal a bit funner when i get bored of the A4E early M
But yeah its a bit of a pain they drop this just after the last event as id have left the T80 to get this instead

id dare say the Shir 2 has much better manoeverbility and probabally stronger and more effective coverage of the armour, with 2/3rds the reload speed.
Don’t get me wrong ill like it to be at 9.3 but i just can’t talk for balance,

9.7 is a really bad area as now you either need to uptier it to 10.0/ 10.3 with only L23.
Or take the chance of taking an entire 9.3/ 9.0 lineup to 9.7 to which sees 10.3 a lot.
With only L23 in your arsenal.
It had access to L23A1, L23 does not even exist.
Even the war museum has on the photo of the L23 round on its website L23A1 on the side of the damn round xD
or they can give it the 8 second Chieftain reload and move it to 9.3

9.3 and 9.7 are also the best BRs in modernish ground cause everything is decompressed and balanced.
I can count all 9.7 on my fingers.
9.7 usually play against 10.0-10.7
Which is at most 25% of opponents, in reality it’s close to 8% as you’re unlikely to come across them in matches unless you over-play your vehicle.

This is especially noticeable after Ground event, or on “premium vehicles BR” to which 10.7 belongs.
as someone using 9.7 france right now, out of the past maybe 25 games, only 5 have been at 9.7, 14 were at 10.3 and the rest were 10.7.
thats the AMX 40, it has a better round than the shir 2, far better mobility, thermals, 20mm coaxial, and not far off a similar reload.
The shir 2 should get its historical L23A1 and go to 10.0 and that would be it.
or nerf its reload to the same as a chieftain and drop it to 9.3.
At 9.7 with L23 standard it is not going to suffice at all.
