L23 is a great round, I’m not sure why there are many posts lying about it.

Its not a deal breaker for a tank to perform even half good, gen 1 thermals arent even all that anyways man they become a hinderance at long range.
The armour, (hopefully) reload, good depression, turret traverse if its the modified one like it should be.
and cross country are all great for britain at the BR.
2A4s are a headache sure. but the Chobham armour gives you more effective armour on the turret compared to the leopard 2A4. Whilst only having a slightly worse round.

Should be L23A1 realistically.
Smin also said furhter up in response to me, that the Shir 2 , wont recieve L23A1 due to where they want to place the tank.
If its 9.7 its a pretty stupid spot but hey ho

this is a correct statement the yf23 was not a prototype yf-22 they were 2 separate aircraft built by separate companies

L23 isn’t power crept. It’s quite literally 3BM22 equivalent.
L23 is a good round, and is a real round.

L23 is not a real round.
It is the exact same round IRL as L23A1 its been proven countless times in bug reports that its only the naming system of the british army. Even the images used in the Imperial war museum website where they refer to it as L23. show its L23A1

Both 3BM22 and L23 arent very good for 9.7, excellent for 9.3 and fighting 9.7s even up to 10.0s but they fall off incredibly fast past 10.3 to 10.7
they arent bad but they are power crept.
Most 9.7s have access to substantially better rounds is what im saying.

Adding both would be a perfect excuse to never fix CR2s lol.

By playstyle you mean mouth-drooling, W-pressing, no tactic playstyle ?
That’s where 9.3 - 10.0 vehicles are good at, not even great as their mobility and gun handling are usually sub-par.
I won’t comment on the fake part but it looks like a slightly worse DM23, which would be pretty decent at 9.7, especially if they give the tank faster reload.

And what makes up for that is armor.
Leopard 2A4 and Challenger 1 have more armor than those listed tanks, and more mobility than all but AMX40 and select light tanks that don’t matter cause they’re light tanks.
Challenger Mk2 is still my preferred spawn over Bhishma.
And yeah, L23A1 is a sidegrade to L23.
Good thing you’re not a developer of War Thunder, so you making that excuse doesn’t matter.

It also explains why all the 2024 naval event vehicles (other than winter, Kirishima is the same class but it is different-enough because it is mid-war rather than end-war) likely were (and in future will be) basically cut and paste. You can’t invest in original dev for that kind of rate of return.

I think that 45 000 points is too much. It feels too much like a chore, and many times people simply can not give so much of their time to the game.

Well that’s just not true, L23A1 can UFP T-72A/M1. L23 can not.

The round seriously fails against the 10.7s in the game. The L23A1 is comparible to DM23
No in real life. L23A1 IS L23, theyre the same round.
the only difference is the designation from testing to service if the sources in the bug reports, museums and varying websites (tend not to trust them but)
Never got the Bhishma, like my CR1 Mk3, Mk3 DS, and mk2 over the T series playstyle for britain.

yeah i didnt wanna particularly list lights in the list.
However most trees dont have many 9.7s left anymore after the BR shifts, hence why I did it.
removing the lights still shows every 9,7 MBT has a far supperior round to the L23.

yeah and it’s too much fr it’s br. it’s like a below 10.0 vehicle, 45000 is for top.
The can be kinematically defeated way easier than they should be and quite often just straight up miss what should be a trivial shot for even a 10G missile
I won’t oppose the thing getting A1 as it’s nothing special either.
As you should, it’s a T-72B (1989) with thermals and (somehow) worse gun depression.
