Get the F-5A(G) in the Freedom Fighter Event!

is this allready modelled in game?

This may be outta nowhere, but may I ask if you know any other missiles other than agm65a that auto track after x distance? Cause I dont think this info is really shown anywhere? Thank you in advance

Out of curiosity does any missile in-game have a minimum range modeled?
I can’t recall any off the top of my head but just wondering since the air launched mk 3 lists 5-40km and the heli launched mk2 3-18 nautical miles.

Hm, maybe AGM65G and such? They have a thermal seeker head so they have tracking from like 12-16km at their max iirc most missiles that can track moving targets have a distance they cant track at and just follow initial.

well the thread went about as expected lol

@Til_Dovre_Faller Do you plan to bug report the amount of Penguin missiles the jet can carry?

Well, theoretically it can carry 4-5 i believe, but there is nothing to indicate it ever carried more than one

Is there a written source that specifies that it could be mounted on those pylons?
Because if you find a bunch of sources saying that it could be mounted on the same pylons of the Bullpup, it could be used to bug report it.

I think the most realistic solution to this problem, is to get gaijin to add the Norwegian F-16A Block 15, which is the only plane we know 100% could fire penguins and 4x of them.

Exactly, it really just seems gaijin figured penguin would be the gimmick for the vehicle to warrant it being a event. Though if Norway and Denmark are added as a combined 5th airline to sweden we could actually see some very cool F16’s

Just did give it a try. No Radar was the end of the story.

This is from the unclassified F-16 document I have on the penguin integration, in theory yes it can be used on any of those same pylons, in practice I suspect a response to a big report would just be a copy paste loadouts are at devs discretion and subjecto to balance.

Nah no shot, the source talks about the F-16 and even then it talks about certification of other pylons.

The MIL-STD-1553 data bus communicates with the adapter pylon, which was a LAU-123. The LAU-123 could be mounted onto the regular pylons i think

Any weapon that uses infrared or image guidance, whether it is a ground-to-ground missile, an air-to-air missile, or a bomb, their operating logic is exactly the same. Constantly detect the “heat value” of objects in the field of view and then find the highest one to track. This is why many ground-to-ground missiles like to lock on to wreckage.

Why cant we get both? I really wanted the pristine air force roundel… :(

Called it

so cheap of gaijin to make this event vehicle, could´ve just been a squadron or premium ngl

I can see its thrust goes from ca 1360kgf down to ca 860kgf however it is according to my sources supposed to be a little higher than this, not much but it would have a small impact on eigne performance and flight performance for the better :)

Ty for noticing that the copy paste plane has a copy paste engine from F-5E

(Others J85-GE-13 engine as reference)
