Get the F-5A(G) in the Freedom Fighter Event!

There’s also arguments to made that the F-5E FCU is undertiered, and that the JH-7 is overtiered. And from what I’ve seen, both seem to be true.

JH7A seems quite good for a strike craft armed with decent missiles.

Mind you like i said, were comparing a strike craft to designated fighter, that isnt exactly doing wonders for its resumé, realistically should compare it with say the mig21 bison as its 12.3.

Better missiles, avionics, acceleration, AoA, top speed and overall performance.

Bar in retention. Which the F5’s when uptiered no one tries to play that way, they just run

Are you comparing the JH-7A to MiG-21 Bison here?

Ignore this if you’re not

I would place the R-73+HMD and R-27 leagues ahead of 4 fancy 9Ls

IN AIR?

Much easier done than in ground.

I was getting 1500 points a match easily in ground. Air its base bombing or flip a coin on if you’re being shot down instantly

Idk. 1500 points in ground is around 5 kills. By the time you are getting your 3rd or 4th kill enemy probably has CAS in the air so you are at mercy of aircraft. On the other hand 1500 points in air is around 2.5 kills which I feel like I can get quite easily. There is a lot of opportunities per game for “free kills” in ARB but in ground I don’t feel like that’s the case.

I feel like ground is much more unpredictable due to CAS and people willing to die for a kill. In air you can be almost untouchable with good positioning.

just play low tier and you kick the hell out of teams pretty easy. I was top fragging in the M44 of all vehicles with a lot of ease

I was using this lineup, never played japan ground as it looks painful

Japan 1.x is frustrating but past that its pretty good, imo 3.7, 4.7, 5.0, 5.7, 6.7, 7.3-7, 8.7, 9.0,9.3,11.3-12.0 are fire lineups

Sure but muh multiplier. Also ripping off 8 AMRAAMs and watching the kills roll in is quite funny.

the total sum of extra points you get in low tier matches vastly offset the lower multiplier. If I was insane enough to grind this air event id be sticking to Wyvern, spitfire LF mk9c and the spitfire mk24 as I do very very well in them and will offset the penalty for not tolerating top tier hell

their props are incredibly good so i can imagine once they stopped building 1930s tanks in 1944 they become pretty decent

Fair enough.

I regret not getting that battlepass so much. It wouldn’t replace my MK24 spitfire but good lord that thing is a demon in uncontested skies

Its like flying a kite with its turn speed lol

Though the guns do shoot spitballs

Well the jet provost was never meant to fly into battle so for a jet trainer based on the replacement for the tiger moth its very well armed. Fully recommend having a squadmate in a fighter with you though

It turns incredibly well but cant regain the energy it burns like any jets of the same age can or the props it fights can.

Ive fought one in a meteor mk8 before and the only way I could get away was by going vertical. quite the aircraft indeed

I do have a question about the cockpit photos we can find on the Internet.
F-5A(G) does not have any screen for TV missiles.
How would AGM119 work? Use your gunsight take the aim and then fire?
Or is it a fire-and-forget weapon even doesn`t even need to aim just find any target it can see?
