Siemens-Schuckert made a lot of aircraft, so if we need more variety in the german tree it could help.
I won’t lose faith, they’ll eventually decide new planes are needed and we will be here.

Then again aerospace tech mainly German would influence hot rod development (water ethanol injection being the big one) Getting as much o2 in that engine is a must even in WW1

It looks a bit more solidly built but its still WW1.
True, the way floats connect seem WW1 to me but otherwise the wings look quite stronger. German diamond shaped naval camo would be gorgeous too, albeit probably locked as a premium.

This may look like a convential WW1 fighter.
It is Linke-Hofmann R.II powered by 4 engines driving single propeller with an upper wingspan of around 42 meters. 2 were built but not flown by the end of WW1.

That plane must have had cooling issues or the engines where really bad even for WW1 standards.
She did fly though in 1919 as the war was not technically over. Meant to be a long range bomber though she was not stress flown but 30 hours where estimated.
7 hours would be regular combat load

It’s a works on paper kind of issue. Then again in race plane the idea of welding two engines together worked well enough but these planes are pavement princesses so war birds would have different outcomes.

on February 28 I mentioned the following plane
Friedriechshafen FF.54, a quadruplane. I stated I am not sure if it was ever armed. On the photo above we can see it was, making it eligible for the tech tree. :)
Two more AEG planes D.I and D.II
By the end of WW1 some of the designs returned to the idea of monoplanes. One of them was first full metal fighter Junkers D.I (factory designation J 9). J 9/II had lengthened fuselage.
They were amed with 2 machine guns.
