u are the most knowledgeable with parlament plans etc. We are currently puzzling about which manpad missles germany will use for the skyranger. If it will be old stingers (needing to be ordered overseas), mistrals or chirons. I did briefly read sth about parlament discussion to reorder new stingers. Do you got any knowledge about that if its in the plans etc?
afaik German Skyranger 30s will get Stingers. The variant of Stinger is unknown but its probably gonna be the one that the Bw already has.
its modular though so they could switch between Mistral, Stinger and Chiron.
Austria just ordered 36 Skyranger 30s with Mistral. Their Skyranger 30s will be different though because they want them mounted on a 6x6 chassis and for that to happen the turret has to lose some weight and the recoil has to be reduced. It’ll have only 3 radars instead of 4 and far weaker protection.
There are plans to purchase new Stingers but thats to replace the ones donated to Ukraine

this is an initial purchase of 19 systems(1 prototype, 18 serial units) and a whole crap ton of training equipment indicating that a larger order will happen later. That order might bring new missiles but who knows. The Stingers are for secondary engagements anyways. A different Boxer-based vehicle with 4 IRIS-T missiles will fill that gap.

Jup, of course. But we always got the war thunder application in mind as well, better manoads would be intresting.
