German teams are often so bad that I’ll end a session with upwards of an 80% winrate but will be so damn frustrated and annoyed. Sometimes I wonder how I’m not chat banned. Just the little things…
For example, some things I’ve noticed playing hundreds of matches at Germany 7.0 since September:
- Maus players bunching up with other Maus + KTs thinking they need to follow Maus around all game
- KT players who really took the engine nerf to heart and are now way too passive, to the point they’ll sit around spawn all game regardless of how many caps the team have or what is happening
- German players who complain about CAS, but continue spawning Tiger after Tiger, Panther after Panther, even when the bulk of the enemy are in the air simply because they have no SPAA in their lineup.
- Leopard 1 players who haven’t realised that their tank is autocannon food and run around the battlefield like they’re a Leopard 2A7
- Pz2000 one death leavers; Pz2000 players who don’t know what HE-VT is (while getting strafed by CAS).
Obviously there are plenty of very good teammates, but there are enough people that just rustle my jimmies.

Or don’t set it to impact on ground targets and complain it gets no kills, And that’s not just Germans, I first realized people are actually that dumb before the switchable fuses and there was a French player going bat shit about his AuF1 61mm pen shell wouldn’t kill anything, I realized after the match the 61mm shell is the VT… “just better players” LOL

Get a specific nerf：Only when the muzzle of a Leopard 2 is hit will it be instantly destroyed.
Of course, you can think that other country also have Leopard 2, so it’s not a specific nerf Germany
It’s not only the leopard though. A hit there in the CR2/CR3 goes in one side and out the other straight through the ammo rack
What do you mean worse each update. Idk about mid and low tiers but top tier germany is still rather potent. New typhoon covers a lot of the bases that the previous one was lacking in, the MBTs though with issues like the basket and 7 gorillion internal modules resulting in some form of disable are still the best MBTs ingame. Also overall the light tanks are not terrible choices all things considered.
Plus SPAAs are ranging from decently good in form of flarakrad to pretty good with SLM.
Where its somewhat lacking is the ability to deal with LDIRCM helicopters since SLMs IR seeker is affected by the force field youll see on guardians, NMs and Z10MEs, but to be honest every single FnF ARH or IR SPAA at top tier is struggling with them so that isnt unique to the SLM.
That and the helicopter situation right now is very grim, for both germany and sweden, since UHT is effectively worthless as soon as an enemy LDIRCM helicopter spawns in which with the BR of 13.0 you see a lot of.
Otherwise its basically fine with some exceptions like the german tornado SLE getting continuously bent over by its BR and loadout options.
Pre-LDIRCM helicopters SLM effectively filtered out bad CAS players that there was a lot of and that got used to just flying high up and firing missiles from outside of the VT1 range. For a bit GRB was pretty peaceful, there were still CAS players and a good CAS player was able to just style on SLM but the non-smart ones got returned to hangar.
Right now however? pretty much every toddler could probably just style on SLM thanks to the addition of LDIRCM and fire and forget missiles.
I wouldnt mind fighting against LDIRCM helicopters if the dazzler was atleast semi-realistic with a small cooldown inbetween missile interceptions but as it stands right now its just an infinite forcefield.
So just like the Leopard CR2/CR3 also get the bad bias

I think what OPs buddy is talking about is that if you look strictly at recent changes and updates then you can get the impression that Germany often gets shafted in some way. Turret baskets only hit 2 countries so far, no other tank got some half assed gun depression restriction over the rear, Germany is one of the few countries without an LDIRCM heli which is fine but for some reason Gaijin thinks that a gunless, 8 PARS, no LDIRCM Tiger should be at the same BR as a 64E/MI28NM, the german EFT is a straight downgrade compared to its siblings, the completely baseless but now reversed SLM nerf. Germany is still a great tree but the only real positive standout (albeit an amazing one) is the IRIS T so i can kinda see why someone would think that germany get comparatively worse even thought they are quite far from bad

I mean, the only points where germany lags behind other nations is high BR competent high RoF light tanks and helicopters, otherwise youre completely fine despite the nerfs.
MBTs despite the basket (terrible choice from gaijin) and the way too many modeled inner modules are still for the most part the best ones at top tier. Below top tier it gets bit screwy as the 2A4 is a good tank but with the current BRs and more and more K5/Relikt around those BRs the DM23 is not being sufficient enough.
Light tanks you only really have vilkas and puma vjtf. Regular puma is worthless and while i did use begleit even at 13.0 the APT is abysmal at damaging barrels from frontal profile.
TDs the wiesel 1A2 is one of the most funny vehicles and still usable at 13.0
SPAAs you got flakbus thats decent and IRIST thats still one of the best SPAAs ingame (now that its been reverted)
And when it comes to Typhoon, i dont buy that “straight downgrade” bullshit. Your radar is 10 degree in each side smaller, but its still an AESA. Thats it. Its still a typhoon. Its like saying that you downgraded in your car choices because you went from ferrari to porsche. Just dumb argument.
Yes germany got a lot of nerfs but it isnt shafted. If you wanna argue about germany being shafted you have better time talking about all the accepted bug reports that have been gathering dust on german vehicles instead.
I think you misunderstood my comment. Im not saying that Germany lags behind, im saying that the changes and additions in the recent past can give the impression that Gaijin has some kind of recent dislike towards germany which is what OPs buddy might be playing at.
You dont have to buy it but its a downgrade, not a big one but one nevertheless
They also don’t have many good options of light tanks after BR 2.3, until the leKPz M41 gets unlocked at BR 6.7
