2a8 is more likely, alone cause of the lazy for sweden and germany addition and in the future reuse for france
I’m placing my bet on 2A7A1 and Strv 123.
They are very very very reluctant on giving Germany more Leos with hull armor for some reason so that also points to the 2A7A1 imo.

Realisticaly, the strv123 has been shown of 22.06. Thats by far not enough time for its modelling
2a8 is 19.11.2025. which is a nice half a year to a year to work on.
Strv123 is just way to few time.
2a7a1 and Strv123a are unique models that will not be useable anywhere else.
2a8 is minor changes, it will save them good bit of development
Yet it was passed after just a month of being suggested.
They can take the existing model and change some details, not the first time they would do that at the expense of some historical accuracy. (see R400 turret)

Youre not more likely to lose, your 100 games are just irrelevant. And the matchmaker is still vastly different at each BR, especially at top tier.

Your claim: German top tier is fine
What speaks for you: Youre doing well in 12.0 german tanks.
What doesnt speak for you: The actual stats of thousands of players, the fact that you dont have a single game in german rank 8, the opinions of people that have actually played top tier Germany.

well yes they might be but I don’t see how that’s really relevant. We have three Strv 122 and a 2A6 in the Swedish tree. The 122s are all better armored than the 2A7V and have DM53 now.
So it’s safe to say Gaijin doesn’t hate Sweden at least
If this comes I’m going to come back to Sweden for a while. I’m hoping it at least has Gen 2 thermals for gunners.

it gets aps and lws, so together with new cannon and new gen thermals.
and what improved armor? the strv123a if anything gets worse armor if it has been updated to 2a7 standards
