Gaijin is also extremely inconsistent with their modelling of vehicle inertia.
This parameter significantly affects how fast a vehicle changes direction (lower = better)

And theres a decent chance the german one wont even get LWS because gaijin will give germany their “early” 2A8, making it the worst one in-game…
There’s no 2a8 early. It would be stupid of them to even attempt thay plus if a “early” version came then it would only be German
Double edged sword, that gives Germany an option for 2 separate 2A8’s instead of just one, putting the unique options aside that would serve the same general role of being an uparmored Leo 2, Honestly wouldn’t be too far out of Gaijin’s realm to do.
There “is” an “early” 2A8. The German 2A8 currently displayed does not have LWS, because the LWS the 2A8 is meant to mount comes from the MUSS 2.0 program instead of an off the shelf system iirc.

Germany has not been left behind cause they always get something left and right every single time.
Japan, however, waits an average period of multiple years, and if we do get something, it’s A: 2 months ago, and then several years. Or in recent cases: Removal of 2 vehicles, opening a massive slot, and nothing to replace it and fill the hole.
On other topics, sure, Germany is missing the Leopard 2A8, but it is not the end of the world. When you have 16 different tanks that remedy this issue, and your “Decline” of players is a War Thunder issue, not a German issue. Every major nation is suffering the decline of competent and quality players, and how rarely it is for them to exist on Major lines anyway. This is purely because people are tired, busy, or cannot really play like we used to.
War Thunder, however, focused heavily on new players but provided no tools for them to properly understand the reality of War Thunder battles: air, land, and we don’t talk about sea; you can go play World of Warships, since it’s the same picture.
So Longevity of old players not getting much is a long, ongoing discussion since the Whispers of 2012, to the Echos of 2017.

I know this might come as a shock to you, but two things can be true at once!
Germany has not received new MBT’s in 3 years, and other nations have also have their issues and shortcomings.
Let’s just take a second to compare the US MBT’s to Germany’s MBT’s:

So feel free to point me to the tech tree MBT sitting between 10.7 and 12.3, a German counterpart to stuff like the Type 90, M1A1, IPM1, T-80U, Challenger 2, T-72B3, T-90A, Challenger 3 TD, etc. etc.
Germany after 6+ years still has not gotten anything to fix this gap.
Germany also still hasn’t gotten a second 12.7-worthy tank, and no, a Leopard 2A6 is not 12.7 material and isn’t on-par with the 2A7V, SEP v3, Strv 122, etc.

And what incentive is there for experienced players to play Germany at 12.7? Germany hasn’t received anything in 3 years and their line-up is simply a significantly worse line-up than they can find in other tech trees.

It’s just going to be a 2a7V with slightly more armour in parts lmao.
You forget the influence of mods. You can see this with GB and Sweden. They get alot crazy stuff. I think its probably why Germany is left behind so much. No community support and no mod support.
3 fully armored MBTs for a small country of 10 million. While the Defense industry powerhouse Germany got one. Which is also worse than 30 yo Swedish ones. Sweden even got the best aviable ingame ammo, despite they never used it. When was the last time Germany got something it didn’t operate. Gajin not even willing to give Luftwaffe 1000lb JDAMs, cause of this. While nations with mod support get all the shiny things. So, thats why.
more armor slower and probably reload nerf. Don’t forget the turret ring special as well

It’s like 2 ton heavier then 2a7V irrelevant different really. And the reload is already nerfed lmao
