it’s absolutely miserable that germany is stuck with like four SPAA’s and they ALL have absolutely atrocious rate and volume of fire while soviets get an 800 RPM 23mm firing SPAA at 6.3 (!).
Germany as it is now has absolutely pathetic anti air deterrence and the result is that nobody wants to play their SPAA’s because you are gimped against both ground and air ever since coelian was removed.
literally all of these are limited to suboptimal rpm because gaijin is incapable of having multibarrel spaa’s alternate fire between barrels, so yeah, 450 rpm is a problem where every other nation has +700rpm spaas.
Not really, the zez is bad, like really really bad with nothing actually good going for it.
Yes you have 4 30mm mk103s, but with extreme limited ammo, extremely poor survivability, poor mobility and limited sustained damage capability.
So added together you last for 2 seconds before reloading, each reload takes 1/7th of your tank ammo (or 1/16th of your complete ammo restock), each reload takes 4 seconds max but for most it’s gonna be 5, which is one of the longest for box fed guns, and poor vertical traverse rate.
Pretty much the only good thing you have is the best in slot damage (which is completely overkill when a single 30mm mk103 is more than enough damage wise) and good horizontal traverse speed.
Really the only good German spaa is the drilling, wirble and kugelblitz for your average player, seeing the ostwind takes alot of skill to do well in.
Ah yes…the BTR-ZD which apparently has the agility, speed and handling like that of a Polaris Side by Side, even though it’s carrying a 23mm gun, ammunition and 6 crew. Another well coded Gaijin miracle!
Sorry, but if you think Kugelblitz is not good enough, I’ll just say skill issue. It’s genuinely one of the best AAs at 6.7 having the range, damage, and protection all in one. Besides, the lower RoF allows for much longer sustained fire.
you can have all range and damage you want but if you have no volume of fire then you will be useless as a SPAA. kugel’s protection isn’t worth jackshit at 6.7 because in the end it’s still a panzer4 chassis and isn’t going to withstand anything more than an autocannon.
Every other nation aside from US and china have spaa’s with upright of 700RPM, often much more. Germany meanwhile is still stuck with crappy ww2 spaa with pathetic rate of fire.
Kugleblitz is one of, if not the best SPAAs at the BR, not only dose it have a high fire rate, it’s also close topped so has decent protection from both strafing and near missed from rockets and bombs.
Volume of fire has no meaning if you can’t aim. Also, you can shrug off MGs and most cannon strafings unless you’re clueless and got gunned at very close range.
