i was looking around at vehicles in war thunder and one vehicle that i remembered was the german su-22 m4 premium… it got removed a bit ago and well it makes me sad because honestly if i had money i would definitely buy that over the tornado… it has more air 2 air missiles than the tornado… it has way plenty countermeasures flares and chaff unlike the tornado that only gets 56 flares that dispense from the wings making it near impossible to flare certain ir missiles in scenarios where su22 may have a chance… the su22 actually has guided missiles albeit with a not so great but still usable targeting view… but the tornado has boring old dumb bombs and promotes low level base bombers to play this thing and ruin that br in air rb. and personally im not really a fan of bombing things with dumb bombs at a br where guided weapons are possible. i also checked statshark and the su22 performs better than the tornado. the reason it got removed? because its copy pase of the exact same vehicle in the tech tree. so basically i have to grind my way to that br in the air tree with other things… then worry about spading it… then potentially buy a talisman which still would give me less rewards for using it compared to the premium su22 that got removed… honestly i think it should be brought back as a cas vehicle and the tornado can be kept as a base bomber for all i care
It got removed this week when store sale ended so you barely missed it.

56 flares are on the hull, on wings it gets pod with what, 600x CMs but its chaff only.
You wont be playing Su22 that much differently.
The guided missiles are more important for ground battles than for air
You say you would hate bombing style of tornado but youd be bombing in Su22 too.
Su22 was objectively bad premium, only really useful to those who wanted high BR CAS to their ground lineup without having to grind ground
If you want to to grind the TT in more fun way, swiss hornet (or rather premium hornets as a whole) is much better and much more fun
i literally want to use it as cas. i hate base bombing
and i dont feel like playing hornet. i think its a very toxic plane

Ive been playing hornet a lot since march 22 and its perfectly fine, fun even.
11.0 su22 you have potential to see what 10.0? with hornet even in downtier youre facing pantsir and stuff
