I like snipers with nice protection. The 2a7v looks like a good tank but germany’s winrates look horrible. On the other hand britain has a better winrate and it seems like a lot of their tanks are good snipers (also they have an abrams :D). Only thing is the apfsds rounds for the challenger 2’s seem pretty lacking. Im 8.0 germany and like 5.0 britain but I don’t mind catching up if needed.

The leopards are amazing but the German top tier currently is just sad. Britain is currently in a way better state.
Really do wish germany had better winrates, they have some of my favorite vehicles in game. I think i’ll definitely give britain a try. How good is the challenger 2’s apfsds round?
if you want a 2a7v experiance, try sweden with the strv 122, (if you didnt grind them)
I couldn’t get past low tier sweden, the lineups are so small at some br’s

It was by me quite difficult, but i mamages it and now i am grinding strv 103
I could never grind up to 8.0 with small lineups of weird tanks honestly. Still would have to get the bkan and other 6.7 vehicles, only one i have is the pbv501

Challenger 2 is the weakest top tier MBT in-game right now.
No survivability, weakest mobility, weakest shell, poor sustained fire rate. Quite frankly, the 12.7 ones should be 12.0.
Britains lineup isnt good either. the Sky Sabre is a buggy mess that barely works. IRIS-T SLM is a lot better against anything bar the helis, where they are both screwed. Germany has some half decent top tier AFV options, Britain has basically none. Britain has a single top tier MBT in the form of the Abrams, Germany at least has a few decent Leopard 2s. CAS is very similar, Britain has the advantage in helis with the AH-64E, but Germany is equal in performance in fixed wing (actually their Typhoon is slightly better at CAS than Britains at the moment)
Britain is only being carried by stubborn and skilled players. Especially as the 7.0-8.7 Bracket for Britain is brutally hard. Germany, being one of the big 3, gets flooded with a lot of players, including those that are a lot worse. (Soviet and US are likewise the same, and generally have weaker stats, even on identical vehicles)
Chieftains (8.7-9.3) and Challenger 1s (10.3 - 10.7) are very solid though.
But the 2A7 is by far the superior top tier MBT at the moment. Hopefully some day Britain will get the Challenger 3 though
Yea i have heard some bad stuff about challenger 2’s, is there another tech tree you’d recommend for a sniper at top tier that maybe has some protection? I also like flanking as well.
Leopard 2s and Abrams are both basically the meta at the moment.
Both have good mobility
Both have good survivability
Both have good shells
The top tier options both have good optics for sniping.
So Leopard 2:
- Germany
- Italy
- France
- Sweden
- Japan
Abrams:
- US
- China
- Britain (as of last major)
So maybe Italy then?
Leopard 2 is a solid top tier MBT
Ariete has 0 survivability, but is small, fast and quite an effective sniper iirc.
The Freccia is okay as well because it can spam quite a few Spikes
Sweden is another option with multiple good Leopard 2s and some decent light tank options.
Im not sure on how well it performs as a sniper, and its not got good survivability, but the Type 10 and TKX in the Japanese trees are also great flankers. Then they have 12.7 Leopard 2 for something more heavy duty
France may be a good one for me, the leclerc looks like it would be cool. I was gonna do sweden but im struggling with the small lineups (im at 6.7 rn BUT i have their premium leopard 1a5no2, maybe i could push through), similarly the only reason i didnt go with italy is because you only get 1 leo and ive heard the other tanks are kinda meh.
Yeah, the Ariete switches places with the Challenger 2 as the weakest top tier MBT depending on the map.
France I think is okay. I dont know a huge amount about the Leclercs, They arent meta, but I dont think they are bad either, they are just sort of average.
So yeah, they might be a good option.
I’ll spare you a long post Go Britain if you want to hear why let me know. But from my experience grinding multiple trees just GO BRITAIN don’t listen to German mains or people with high stats.
Do swedish lineups get better once you get past 6.7? The vehicles look cool and i have 8.0 swedish air.

Their light tanks are half decent I think and stuff like the Strv 103 with the fixed turret look quite interesting and are quite unique gameplay, but I dont know much else. I just know that they technically have the best Leopard 2s at the moment.

Germany is pretty terrible from 8.0 until you get to 12.3, with exceptions of the 9.3 lineup and the 2A4.
Britain is much more consistent with many more full lineups and less BR gaps. Both trees have the same number of TT tanks at or above 8.0, but this likely won’t last very long as Britain had gotten significantly more new vehicles in the last two years.
At very top tier, the 2A7 is very good, definitely too 5 vehicles and probably top 3.
Of course this is the English forum so you’re gonna hear a lot of “German bias Britain suffers”. Honestly, give them both a shot and see for yourself.
I actually like 8.0 germany a lot. After a little bit of thinking I may do france.
