If you’re looking for a leo and enjoying top tier and winning just go play Italy. They have the 2A7HU with Gen 3 thermals. Just stay away from US and Germany as a solo queue player.
Lastly, if you’re going to commit don’t neglect CAS.
Thing about italy is you only get like 2 good tanks at top tier I think. France gets the leclerc and leopards. Correct me if im wrong tho.

UK is decent, end of the line if ahead of me but Challenger MK3 is super fun. Plenty of lineups too, one of the funniest 30mm SPAA and fun rats. Imo worth it, I decided to grind this out.
Germany - yeah you can go for 9.3 - 9.7 and for the top tier with time however as you said the teams are terrible and it’s exhausting playing alongside them. Great tanks overall.
France I can recommend up to 11.0, it’s fun TT overall with great 7.7. Leclercs are on big disadvantage, no armour whatsoever, weak round and huge FCS that disables armaments and can be taken by 50 cal AND anything explosive nearby like artillery strike. So either you are popping after a 1 shot or game becomes a repair simulator after every mosquito bite.
Sweden - great TT overall, pretty unique and fun to play. Top tier is promising, I’m currently researching the top tier STRVs
For a game style you described as preference, I would recommend finish the German TT and go with UK next or concurrently.
Imo, the TT basically drops off a cliff after 10.7. You go from decent, competitive MBTs, to some notably under powered MBTs and a non-existant line-up. Where you will mostly be usable 10.7 vehicles still (Ajax and Boxer especially, the ADATS is barely a 11.7 worthy SPAA either, and I think would be better at 11.0).
Whilst the CR2s are okay at 11.7, you shouldnt be seeing half of what you do in an uptier in their current state. The 12.7s ones should be 12.0.
Oh I really can’t tell yet, UK is obviously not meta but I believe it’s not total trash either. Currently I stopped rushing for top tier and started to enjoy fun lineups 8.7 and above.
All we discuss here must be taken in context that OP likes armored snipers, so firepower and strong turret. IMO UK would do better than France and it’s more interesting overall than Sweden.
How’d you make it that far into sweden? im at 6.7 and cant stand how small these lineups are, a lot of the tanks feel weird imo.

Sweden has gaps, I built 8.0 premium lineup to skip them. Premium Strv 103 is pretty nice, I can’t recommend VIDAR. However even in these poor lineups you can find some fun and unique vehicles - for example 5.0 and 6.7 were surprisingly good.
USA is my all time favorite. I like brawling and close range aggressive gameplay. It’s my first nation I get top tier, in the meantime Gajin made middle tiers even better and more interesting. Highly recommend.
Italy I’m aiming for 10.7/11.0. Currently at 6.0 and I can’t complain so far, TT overall looks promising but keep in mind it’s all about lighthy armored fast vehicles, Arietes like Leclercs can’t take turret shots so it enforces different gameplay. Also why bother with Italy top tier when you have rat-alike MBTs with better firepower like Type 10/TKX. IMO interesting enough for slowly grinding but I’m more hyped for UK at the moment.

German tanks are far better IMO, but the players will make you want to rip your hair out.
While I don’t have top tier Germany at pretty much all lower BRs (or when they are on my team at max BR) the German teams just refuse to push objectives and rely on the enemy running out of respawns before the tickets bleed out due to the CAP points. Or just ODL a winning match until you don’t have a team left.
If you look through the stats on statshark you will notice a trend of Germany having a decent to very good K/D and a consistently awful win rate, for example the Elefant has a 2.5K/D and just a hair over 50/50 win rate.

This. See my 2A7 with 46*% WR xd- I’m tired playing super hero and fighting for every victory like maniac just to break the cycle of 10 looses in a row.
Also see my 7.7/8.0 haha I truly got PTSD - 30% WR after this many games. Their tanks are great tho.
Think imma go with sweden and grind with the premium leopard 1a5, thanks :D. Also agreed USA is very much a fun tt, I have just about every 6.7 and its a gold mine.
Here and now? Britain has a better ground and air wing than Germany.
But Germany has greater growth potential and better premium options with the 2PL and 2A4M and 2A4 as great grinders.
