I find it impressive how after 2 years of your bug report, nothing has changed. It’s like they are doing it on purpose. And also, could you unlock the conversation? I think pp could help you with providing some sources, or idk, it might be a good idea to make a duplicate so gaijin do something.
Jesus H. Christ, it’s an old issue (like old as War Thunder itself, but initialy it only affected M-geschoss which had less sensitive fuses than any other 20mm HE and some higher caliber cannons) that was fixed edit: in December 2023, it’s been OK for like a 1,5 years and then they broke it again in May, only this time WAY worse (as it affects almost every HE round in game).
Since it greatly benefits Soviets, and basically nobody else (Mosquito sucks either way), of course Gaijin decided to not fix it.
Also they don’t play their own game and can’t track their own bugs.
Absolute cinema!
I wish it was that simple…
If it worked that way, there wouldn’t be so many pp complaining about what is happening here;
the biggest issue is that they don’t listen to us, in the example we just gave here, the mods marked the issue as accepted, and locked the conversation, and kept the case dismissed for more than 2 years;
In the other case that they told us, they didn’t fix the issue for over 2 years too, and then after pp brought it up again in another bug report, they locked the report and marked it as a duplicate, without solving the issue
I mean, right now majority of Soviet props don’t fuse HE shells, and now the problem is universal, affects both planes and AAA, and the bug report has been shut down because there is some other bug report on COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ISSUE, so it’s a duplicate. Yeah.
I guess at this point it’s safe to assume it’s intentional.
I have 5 cannons
2 of 20mm
And 3 of 30mm
I really don’t understand these things
Each time I fire, at least 259.2g of TNT comes out of the x3 30mm and 59.52g of TNT from the x2 20mm barrel.
How the hell does the equivalent of a hand grenade per shot doesnt makes a Yak-3U a quadriplegic?
But it, with its two 20mm cannons firing 17.24g of TNT, can obliterate a plane three times its size.
From the damage I can tell you none of your 30mm hit his plane, only 2 of 20mm HEI (minengeschoß) hit enemy fuselage and left wing. Look at orange part on left wing and fuselage. That’s how german 20mm state now. Compared other 20mm that can easily ripped enemy wing with single hit from 20mm.
I mean, the 30mm are super close to the 20mm + the nose 30mm one, so idk, its still 59.52g for the 20mm, the state of the german cannons (and cannons in general) is stupid
“i think only the 20mm hit that yak3u and because the mk103 has higher velocity 860m/s vs the 20mm of 785m/s but not only that the 30mm bullet is heavier and has way better ballistic and lose less speed in range so yeah you need to shot them separately to take full advantage of that because you can shot from 2km head on and hit way faster than any gun maybe the 30mm is actually really good and the damage is way better than this if the air target round hit not the Incendiary ammo so yeah mk103 are rare case that 30mm still work 30mm aden for example dose way less damage it feels like 20mm mg151 and the type 5 30mm Japanese one is in middle some time one tap some time give you good old a hit”
Once I’m back home I’ll throw in a Yak-9k after taking several 20mm to the wing.
Guess what? He didn’t lose it.
I’m using Ta-152H in ground RB to remove some CAS.
My 2 biggest issues:
Soviet planes
Soviet SPAA (by far the best anti-air vehicles at WW2 BRs, 25 and 23mm cannons are the bane od my existence. 37mm is useless because there’s like 0 difference in damage between Soviet 23mm and Soviet or German 37mm, they are better than 20mm, but actually a 1 or 2 shells from Skink happily rip off my entire tail or wing from 1200+m away while I am flying away at way ovee 100m/s ).
With Ostwind I routinely need several hits to take out anything, because 37mm M-shell has no real advantage over lower caliber under real sh*tter. 2-engine bombers can tank 30mm from Zerstorer all day. I switched to AP as it works more reliably, lol.
I suppose maybe the 700g Pzgr.18 at 790m/s will be the main round until fix?
(When they someday correct the Pzgr.18 that is, tho i do plan on making a new report for Pzgr.18 and Sprgr.18 as well as the missing rounds and for the Navy., as soon as another document is digitalized.)
