What do you expect from gaijin else than russian bias? US is getting a worse 15ex variant than the Isrealis from what I know, while Isrealis haven’t recieved a single piece of that jet yet. They just love giving advanced leopards to all the countries else than Germany.
In my opinion, the reason they treat Germany this way is that there is a very large player base for Germany, and these players are already accustomed to the Leopard tanks. By providing strong Leopard variants to other nations, they encourage German-main players to branch out into those other tech trees—which, in turn, leads those same players to spend more money on premium vehicles and other in-game purchases. Essentially, they are intentionally holding Germany back to drive more players toward other nations, where they will end up spending money all over again.

As I mentioned in my previous posts, whatever happened to the 2A7V—it brought all these issues along with it—is now happening again with the arrival of the 2A8. Honestly, don’t even bother; even if you were the one to create the 2A8 yourself, we aren’t going to see any real improvements for German tanks in the game.
The real issue is that the German Leopards remain based on the 2A4 variant, whereas the Strv (Swedish) tanks—and others—are based on the 2A5. Even if the 2A9 were added to the game, it would still be based on the 2A4 platform, meaning nothing would really change for Germany.
The real issue is that the newly introduced tank was not built from the ground up; instead, composite armor was added to a 2A4, leaving it in a weaker state compared to the Leopard tanks of other nations.
All 3 Leo 2A7s have the same hull armour.
The main difference is the roof armour add on which germany didnt procure
From what i understand is that gajin for some reason didnt give the 2A7 its D-tech hull array but correct me if im wrong

They are mass removing/NABing issues for majority of l2a8 buffs, i.e. depression angle, speed, mass, armor. (p.s. for the moment the issue asking for US f15ex MAWS ended up getting both 15ex’s MAWS removed, wonder any of these happens to RU).

When you apply a Corporate brochure to get a unit buffed. Its no primary source and gets rejected. When a duder submits a corp brochure to vouch for a german nerf, it gets immeadetly accepted and further discussion gets locked.

Won’t get any emotional damage when a tank destroyer at 12.0 runs up to your face vaporize your mbt at 13.3 by spamming ctrl and holding left click meanwhile your sabot doesn’t do shi to him to 90% on the hull. (Not a lot on NATO but that should be the thing for Japan if ur not lying)
Or:
Feel it’s reasonable that every single bit of ammunition else than the cannon comes off your jet gets intercepted by pantsir meanwhile your aa gets overridden by RU’s casual agm Kh38mt.
Also:
You probably benefit from ts because Japan got kh38mte that ain’t existing on the real world yet.

Let me just summarize this thread’s relevant content so it’s easier to read through and maybe we get back on topic.
The Leopard 2A8NOR carries the ELBIT LWS as Norway specified in their requirements for their combat ready fleet requirements in the Leopard 2A8 order.
The Leopard 2A8 in the game is the german training, testing and prototyping variant which does not yet carry a roof MG or a LWS as delivered to the Bundeswehr units.
The Leopard 2A8 shown at Eurosatory 2026 carried a mockup of the ODAEON Optical Detection and Softkill APS system and Elbit LWS sensors. It is an official Bundeswehr variant being tested at Hensoldt so there is sort of a point of it being in service.
ODAEON as specified by the manufacturer is based on mostly the MUSS 2.0 and the Jammerhead MJ2. It is being developed to be cross compatible with its sensors.
Germany’s requirements for the combat ready Leopard 2A8 fleet include a LWS and presumably the ODAEON system as a whole (combat fleet deliveries supposed to begin early 2027 while ODAEON was to finish development by the end of 2026).
The german combat ready Leopard 2A8 fleet will also carry roof mounted MGs.
Gaijin decided to add the prototyping Leopard 2A8 for Germany and the combat ready variant for Norway/Sweden.
The point of this thread is now to:
A) Ask suggestion mods to maybe escalate a suggestion containing the MUSS 2.0 or Elbit LWS Sensors without ODAEON’s Jammerhead as a middle ground for the german Leopard 2A8 as there must have been a variant of the prototype ingame carrying them in real life.
B) Get a reason as to why the Leopard 2A8 NOR was chosen over the Strv 123A for the swedish tech tree.
C) Inquire / Argue that germany should or could get its combat ready fleet variant rather than the training variant that’s not meant for combat. (Even if in a later update as a foldered variant).
D) Not throw random source-less information around and rally up people that don’t do their own research.
The few sources on the Leopard 2A8 that are credible are in the chat above relatively in the beginning.
I’d like to again remind everyone reading this, that throwing accusations around will not motivate either the devs or suggestion moderators to escalate the issue, I’ve seen some messages in this thread that are more DM worthy than useful for this thread.
@Smin1080p_WT I’m relatively new to the forum and posting, is there a way to get a suggestion moderator to look at this suggestion/ discussion?
Edit: I’m a human and make mistakes, feel free to correct me if it’s relevant and contributes with additional information or maybe credible sources.
