It legit doesnt take documents to understand that a APDS belt with 80 mm of pen shouldnt struggle on a light vehicle by shooting on the side
Most likely due to their impact/armor coding.
They really need to update it. buggy af at times.

Oh it does…a lot too,i have to rely on its ATGMs to take out a vehicle that should die in 2 shots from my main cannon
(Which btw its something that happends with the EFV)

if the round says 80mm it can pen 80mm, if youre trying to shoot though something more than 80mm that might explain why youre not penning
fun fact 90 is a bigger number than 80 so that means that if you have 80mm of pen you wont be able to pen it
i would also love a better fix to the issue where when your round hits where two plates connect which causes the game to add both armor values.
Maybe cause if i shoot the ammo location and fails to pen MAYBE and i say MAYBE its not my issue mate…but the lack of the proper models for the Bushmaster
You can do tricks with ESS and Thermals but thats fairly it…

are you talking about the side armour of russian mbts? cause they have 80mm of side armour so if you only have 80mm of pen at 10m at 0 degrees if you arent at that then you wont pen, also theres a lot of wheels there that would increase the armour

Gaijin already knows the Bushmaster its lacking proper damage model for the main cannon with APDS belt…they wont really do much about regardless
do you have someone from gaijin saying that they know about this and dont plan to change it (assuming that it is underperforming?) if not find yourself a source and make a bug report

its kinda hard to answer your questions when you just say light tank, cause theres a lot of variation in armour of light tanks, like 2s38 has a lot of armour but btr80 doesnt so would you mind being more specific?

Thats why the implemented the Stingray (Which no one asked for it btw) at that br bracket,to compense the huge lack of good light vehicles for US at those br brackets
EFV being the same br as the Bradleys and works 10x times better since it has a proper damage model for its gun

See in which you will end up getting more kills with it

its the same damage modelling for the gun cause its the same gun, gaijin is lazy and copy pastes as much as possible from vehicle to vehicle, which isnt as bad as it sounds

Its Bushmaster but not the exact the same bushmaster that the M3 Bradley holds
EFV holds the Bushmaster 2 Mk.44 Mod.1 cannon
M3 Bradley CFV holds the 25 mm M242 Bushmaster Chain Gun

The EFV can remain its current br,the M3 Bradley stay at the same br only cause of BGM-71s it carries
The gun its self its WAY too lacking for no actual reason
Its “mid” cause it doesnt really do much about MBTs frontally,which you shouldnt face them regardless since youre in a light vehicle with an autocannon
The EFV however can pen the lower plate of the T72??I dont remember which MBT it was,it was russian tho,imma have to look at it again and ill come back with an answer later on to confirm it
The gun have way better damage model and output than a Bradley and considering there isnt a gigantic difference in heigh between them…i rather use the EFV which can shread stuff
