no… all fox3 working its a joke atm…
going off of the ARH, R-77, and AIM-120 threads the R-77 has got more maneuverability and more range than the AIM-120A and B without even needing to loft. If you manually loft the R-77 it can reach 100km which is more on par with the AIM-120C-5.
The R-77-1 also has a 25km active seeker versus the AIM-120C-5’s 16km, the first AMRAAM that could theoretically (since there isn’t much publicly available data on them) have a similar seeker range is the AIM-120C-7.
No, the C-5 is actually the equivalent to the R-77. R-77 gets more maneuverability at the cost of having to manually loft the missile rather than automatically doing it (but it can still reach 100km like the C-5), and the C-5 gets automatic lofting at the cost of maneuverability.
R-77 is 80km of range max. AIM-120B is 80km as well.
R-77-1 with 25km of RWR warning to its target… that’s more time for the target to defeat it which isn’t a good thing for the R-77 slinger.
AIM-120 seeker is 22km tho…
The highest range value I’ve seen for the AIM-120A/B/C-3/C-4 is 74km, the minimum I’ve seen for the R-77 is 80km. The R-77 reaches 80km without even needing to loft, and with lofting it can reach 110km - as seen by the R-77-1 (which only added automatic lofting, it’s the exact same motor). Manual lofting would be a bit less inefficient, but it will still most definitely reach 100km.
The maximum value I’ve seen for any AMRAAM’s seeker range is for the C-7 (and later models), with it being an ambiguous “it’s probably more than 16km.” Unless you’ve seen something I haven’t, the C-7 is the first AMRAAM that could even possibly be the equivalent to the R-77-1, going off of publicly available information.
Going off of what? Every thread I’ve seen has only shown a max of 16km.
i’d be careful with those numbers
i tried using the tac view with good old 530Ds. some shots were launched from 9km altitude at 1800 km/h (real speed of aircraft) and the missile reached a max speed of mach 3.8 (real speed of 4200 km/h)
keep in mind that this scenario is really optimistic for an average air rb game. In general, SARH won’t go faster than mach 3 (3000-3500 ish km/h)
for a 530D to reach mach 5 you probably need to climb to 12km, get to the max speed of the aircraft, and fire the missile in a perfect straight line against a very cooperative target flying to the same altitude. Basically, it never happens X)
c5 also has a better more modern seeker, a much longer range, and retains energy a lot better. the 120a/b are balanced as they are because the r77 while having a higher listed range bleeds a lot of speed when even making smaller course corrections due to poorer missile body design lol. the 120a and b will be the best at retaining speed and will also be deadly close range as well as far
Where’s Sweden’s jas39C and there AMRAAMS??
when Fox 3 comes this is just a test
they said the C would come next update…
this is next update am i wrong
Then they said it be delayed due to it being added now their would be no differences
Next update it will come with AMRAAMS
so there for they lied and had to add it when everyone gets something. got it
Lied no
They were gonna give Sweden it when AMRAAMs came but they got delayed so the Gripen got delayed as well
and them not getting AMRAAMS means sweden gets nothing new
Yes as if you got it without AMRAAMs you still would get nothing new
they’d have the aircraft that they made, not 2 nations now having a better version of there aircraft
how is it better slightly better mavericks
Gripen C has better engine, 2 more pylons, better RWR, better Radar etc.
not in game
