The Type 90 is somewhat acceptable with the camo nets volume covered more area on the turret and also some over turret basket. But the Type 16 is straight up terrible, it’s like they were not even trying to cover the vehicle.

I’ve created a bug report to give the Chi-Ri II’s secondary gun the improved Type 1 APHE shell from the Ka-Mi.

It’s somewhat intriguing that I can find multiple other photos of various trucks mounting the Type 98 in Japanese service, and yet to my knowledge, this is the only such photo that exists of the Ko-Hi version.

As far as i know the only captured vehicles the Japanese used were M3 Stuarts and M3 GMC. They did like to use captured Chinese howitzers and even dutch uniforms though.

On a somewhat related note, I tried asking for a slight pen buff for the Japanese 37s, but alas, it may be more of a game issue than a Japan issue

The Type 1 37mm APHE shell Loses Penetration Power too Quickly // Gaijin.net // Issues

Indeed. The formulas handle the penetration and penetration fall off.
Fortunately, there are some other rounds that could be added which are compatible across most 37mm guns for Japan, though it seems most don’t offer much improvement when plugged into the calculator.

There are some shells we could get, yeah

If no one has done it yet, I can do it. I just need the proper documents with covers, so skultew doesn’t get mad again

Great, but i don’t ever touch the chi-ri anymore because Gaijin refuses to fix its model, unfortunately.

Btw, found pictures of GSDF M24, they look like early version with side skirts on like in the game.
Some people thought Japan only used post-war modified Chaffee with side skirts removed and smoke mortar replaced with additional antenna.

I have seen photos with netting in the turret top, turret sides and turret back, and also some with hull front

Also RCV camo netting

I have requested one of the technical moderators via PM to add the blueprints of the 37 mm Type 98 tank gun and sources about the late model Type 95 Ha-Go to @_N4MELESS 's bug report. I believe we have gathered enough sources. So there is no need to submit a new bug report.

Spoiler

It has been found that the Type 95 Ha-Go in the game is modeled based on a very special variant. It is the Type 95 Ha-Go modified in Rabaul to be equipped with a flamethrower. There is a Type 93/Type 100 flamethrower attached next to the left front fender. Historically, it is known that this flamethrower-equipped variant had its tank gun removed and a dummy barrel installed. Yes, it is clear that there is a critical bug in the armament of the Ha-Go in the game. I also sent the source for this flamethrower.

Spoiler

Enlisted Type 95 Ha-Go. Same model as War Thunder. Flamethrowers cannot be used.

Looks like my report was accepted at least. It’s a small change, but it should give the secondary gun a lot more utility. It might actually be useable against the sides of some medium tanks now too.
Thanks to everyone who help get this bug report noticed.

Next order of business: The Ro-Go’s lack of shoulder stabilizers on both turrets.
