and you know gaijin tries to silence the backlash when they remove the reply function of the flag thread where you can discuss the removal(removal of the navy flag from the ships was in my opinion too much)…

Blud, this thread was in “Dev Server” section, and once dev server goes offline and major update drops, all threads on this section have reply option disabled

The flag you see in the menu was actually Germany’s national flag during ww2. This wasn’t the case for Japan. It would be nice to still have the imperial one to differentiate the ww2 vehicles from post war ones though.

It’s literally basic Oplot, so two same tanks for japan?

Yes its a slightly obsolete Oplot. The explosive reactive armor set up is a bit different. It would be a nice folder tank. From what I see Malaysia could get many tanks because they tested many specially built tanks for them.

Maybe just like the China’s VT-4, added as 10.7 premium is quite good

It was the war flag, not the national flag. That being said the national flag of WWII was probably skipped because Gaijin didn’t want to add this flag:

That is not supposed to be just a cross in the middle, I had to censor it for forum rules. It’s not hard to imagine what this flag would look like.

It wasn’t originally censored since I was assuming a similar ruling to German law (§86 StGB if anyone is interested), where the use of such symbols is generally prohibited, but allowed under specific exceptions including historical and informative contexts.
But I completely missed that according to the community guidelines (Common Rules 2.9) it’s simply banned regardless of context.

Personally I hope we just get the modern German national flag instead.

Edited to fit forum rules

It’s actually a uniquely made variant for Malaysia, the Object 478DU8.
The Thai Oplot-T is based on the Object 478DU9-1 (Oplot-M) instead.

Spoiler

T-84 Oplot (Object 478DU8)
Malaysian Oplot

T-84 Oplot-T (full armor)
Thai Oplot

Yeah, T-84 is Oplot (1999) and Thai BM Oplot is Oplot (2009). It’s quite similar but in same time quite different tanks

Oh yeah I forgot it had the cross in-game too, but you’re right. The full red one is the national flag.

Is Gaijin ever planning on adding Thai voicelines? Even Spain, that has a single vehicle in the game, has its own proper voicelines.

Probably they like doing this stuff in bulk.

Theyd also have to add Indonesian voicelines as well but hopefully we will get them soon

You at least made it out of Rank IV hell lol

The ERA set up is a little different but it would be a good folder tank.
