It’s not a production Type 10 tank but a prototype, specifically 99-0239, the third of the Phase V prototype vehicles. This is the same tank that is also in game as the “TKX”, only with a different set of turret side stowage boxes, as well as an earlier design for the wedge shaped covers on the turret cheeks. Neither of these were ever used on production tanks so it’s pretty safe to assume these are just earlier designs

All four Phase V prototypes, 99-0239 (“TKX (P)”) is the third in the line up and the only one equipped with a dozer.

99-0239 the way it is shown as “TKX”

Production Type 10 with a dozer - Aside from using the production style turret side stowage with one cutout for the sets of smoke launchers (as opposed to indivudual holes for each launcher) it can also be identified by the panels on the hull above the track opposite to the drivers side. These slope out forwards on production tanks while the prototypes mirror the other side

Gaijin has double differential steering in the files now and theres a user mission that adds it to a bunch of different tanks If you test it on the type 10 it actually helps a ton there

Heres hoping gaijin implements it quickly

I might have to check a bit more but it seems to me like Oplot does have it, at least at speed.

Ok, nevermind. I thought that the Oplot locks one of the tracks (the inner circle track) much later (at lower speeds) than other tanks, but it’s just Type 10 that locks the inner tracks almost instantly at any speed.

Is the Stingray equipped with a thermal imaging system?

Thai production ones no, iirc one of the american test beds got one supposedly the 2nd US prototype got one but there isn’t any detail nor mockups of what it would have looked like. Not that matters, as every one is getting the Thai model so no thermals.

It was listed as an option for export, but sadly there isn’t much info on the second prototype that could’ve mounted it.

We don’t know how it was equipped or even what it would’ve looked like. There is no confirmed images of it and all images that might be the second prototype could also still just be the first prototype.

I’d personally say it’s likely it was at least tested at some point, but there is no guarantee for that.

Has this decal ever been available as weekly decals or something of that nature?

Not that I can recall.

Btw.
does anyone mind reporting some things on the stingray(?);

  • The manual hand-crank for the turret-drive is modeled as part of the horizontal drive module in its’ entirety. As such, if anything hits it, the entire module gets disabled/destroyed - including the electro-hydraulic equipment that should be totally unaffected by the hand-crank failing.

  • The destruction of the FCS makes you unable to fire and aim vertically/horizontally which is quite weird, given that gaijin clearly knows the manual-emergency hand-crank is a thing… (This is only a thing they do on light-tanks, SPAA’s and IFV’s btw. - No MBT has this ““fearure”” [probably because the outrage would be too high, understandibly!])

As for the firing, there is a “emergency firing box” right next to the gun, which allows it to be fired atleast once, even if the power-system fails.
→ Since the destruction of the Power-System (3 aux. PSU’s) destroys the FCS and thus the ability to fire - said penalty should be removed from the FCS module.

→ Gun-elevation speeds are wrong but I’ve already reported that - said report was closed and labeled as not a bug but the label removed and the report re-opening quite quickly.

The Dev Server’s back, so I got some time to mess around with the camo again.
During the training exercises in Feb 2025, each Commando Stingray was spotted with its unique orange camo, so I decided to make my own version.

Will the camos you made be adopted by Gaijin

If they meet the Marketplace requirements then they could potentially be chosen as part of the next camouflage trophy/trophies (the gamba-boxes).
Technically, it’s possible that skins are added as direct-purchase options for a fixed price but that’s quite unusual in comparison.

I do hope that they release it in the Tusk Force lootbox, I’d get one as soon as it would be available.

I’m simply in LOVE with this camo, are there any digital camos that Japan can get?

Any idea what configurations there will be for JGSDF?

I believe there are ongoing talks about a variant with the NEMO turret, outside of that I don’t think anything else has been revealed by Patria or Japanese MOD yet.
