Here is another datasheet from Cadillac Gage Textron listing it as -7.5° as well, I wonder where Gaijin got -10°?
This one seems interesting to me, since it lists the 67km/h speed alongside the initial 535hp engine, while the Thai version uses a slightly more powerful 550hp engine with a stated top speed of 71km/h. But in the devblog Gaijin mentioned the 67km/h top speed despite focusing on the Thai tank.
I was worried the US Stingray would be a copy of the Thai Stingray, now I’m worried it’s the other way around…
To be fair here, the brochure I linked above is also quite inconsistent with that value;
It mentions both the 535hp / 67km/h figure in the article and the 550hp / 71km/h figure in the datasheet…
The other advertisement, specifically on the Commando Stingray lists the 535hp figure solely.
So I don’t know if I want to blame gaijin for this one just yet, since there does appear to be a discrepancy between those values, even within cadillacs own publications. Since I don’t speak thai, I probably won’t be able to look for sources specific to their service-vehicle either…
Finished up a hypothetical Japan-Thai tree. The Google Docs with the description of the included vehicles (including in-game ones) is linked here.
Changes from previous version:
- Extended to end-of-line with rank IV through XI
- Type 95 Light removed after clarification of Ha-Go prototypes
- Added the images for the Dowa-modified Type 91 and Austin-Chiyoda, and for the second Ha-Go prototype
- Names for Type 76 AA, and Type 76, 81, and 83 Lights, changed to Thai names transliterated via RTGS
This is glorious I must say, but I do have to ask, why don’t you use the purpose-designed tree builder?
WHAT HVM and igla on a truck can I see?
No purpose-designed tree builder can make the branching lines that I prefer or make the folders-within-folders that is used for the SAM systems.
Thailand mounted a Dzhigit system on the rear of a Thairung Transformer, which is composed of two Igla-S launchers side-by-side on a turreted mount.
They also mounted a three-launcher Starstreak system on the rear of a Thairung MU4.
Spoiler

We finally have a proper look at TKX-0006 that was converted into a TTB for the Type 10. The most notable change is that the driver and gunner sit in the hull with only the commander being in the turret. Other changes include:
- 1200hp 8VA and HMT prototype
- CITV in place of the gunners hatch
- New sight for gunner and commander
- New gun that is either an L/46 or L/48 (My speculation is the RUAG CTG)
- Mass reduced to 45 tons
- Turret roof raised for the gun to depress
Fair enough, but I do think that finding some sort of program or hosting platform that allows for more natural viewing of your trees would be quite useful considering how much time you clearly put into them.
I would if there was one that could accommodate those things. The reason I’m so focused on those specifically is because I think it would be a far better way to organize trees if Gaijin abandons their five-line limit and changes the lines into actual branches, allowing players to circumvent vehicles or what-not. For example, in the tree I just posted there are distinct TD-focused and SPH-focused lines that branch off after the So-To; both of the vehicles in each line plays distinctly differently from the other line but similarly within the line, while both lines share the characteristics of being relatively unarmored self-propelled guns. Due to the Type 56 SY being a Japanese vehicle, there’s an option to research into that line after researching the Ho-Ro as the last derp gun in the TD line. Then, at the end both lines merge again with an option to go into the mobility-focused truck SPHs or the more protected tank SPHs before ending with the L/55 SPHs.
Meanwhile, in the current game, that entire line would be some unholy mix or just two distinct and utterly unconnected lines.
Well, I’m guessing Neocities would be a decent hosting platform if there was an easy way to convert your tree into code format. Regardless, I do see your points, and I am certainly in agreement that a distinction should be made between traditional SPA and purpose-designed TDs.
On that note, since you seem to be including as many vehicles as is possible, do you have a Discord server or something or that nature I could contribute in? This is certainly one of the more ambitious collections of Thai and Japanese vehicles I’ve seen thus far and so I’d love to help make it bigger if possible.
