On the old Oplot-T thread it saids that thai army uses Chinese APFSDS for those tanks, but what APFSDS then would be? I’m not well known about Chinese APFSDS.
RTA uses BTA-4 for VT-4 which is export variant of in-game DTW-125
They use BTA4 for VT-4, we (community) guess they also use it for the Oplot-T, but I don’t remember that we would have pictures of it, just 3BM25 iirc, which seems to be used as practice training round sometimes.
Does the M48A5PI have a stabiliser?
I understand that it has a LRF.
Found this video posted by Thai reserve officer training corps student, looks like it has a laser rangefinder in M48A5
Not sure if is this thing a stabilizer ?
If equipped with stabilisers, it would be an effective tank to fill holes in 8.3-9.0 decks.
Looks more like a mechanical linkage to the commander’s sight to me
9.0 plz 🙏
They don’t have limit of posting vehicle’s inside view?
I remember they even posted lots about VT-4, T-84BM and other newest equipemts…
What was the fire control vehicle for the Hawk missiles in the JGSDF? I’m trying to figure out if it would be possible to add, but that’s dependent on if the fire control and/or radar vehicle is actually self-mobile or not.

It is Japanese HAWK unit. Japan had all PIP I, PIP II, PIP III modifications.
I am not really good about HAWK but never seen the self-propelled FCS, radars and etc where all vehicles can move by itself. Mostly it is towed by trucks.
Also never seen any photo of HAWK on that M727 system in Japan and it won’t be surprise if Japan didn’t have self-propelled HAWK because it is not pretty needed
And tbh it is not really big issue if Japan won’t get HAWK system (as any other TT in this case)
Because potentially Japanese SAM tree can be one of the best in game
Even with Japanese SAMs only (most of the line) it can be:
~10.0 - Type 93 with Type 91 Kai (I am convinced that this should be a separate vehicle so as not to increase the BR of the current Type 93)
~10.7-11.0 - Type 81 (as Strela-10 and Chaparral analogue). Can be added in 2 vehicles as alone vehicle (lower BR) as multi vehicle (higher BR).
~12.0+ (+future BRs) Type 03 as heavy long range ARH missile system. Only multi vehicle
~12.0+ (+future BRs) Type 03 Kai as similar to Type 03 but another missile and main feature is AESA seeker with 1cm wavelength. Only multi vehicle
~(idk will it appear in game but) Japan also has PAC-2, PAC-3, PAC-3 MSE Patriot systems
Also Thailand was officially announced and there are some SAM vehicle what can help
- Igla-S on car and Starstreak on car. Both them can work as addition to Type 91 and Type 91 Kai
- MICA VL. It is IR or ARH SAM system what will be analogue to IRIS-T SLM but with different missile head mechanic as on SPYDER.
It means that almost all possible categories of AA is closed with this tree like:
- Simple MANPADs (Igla-S)
- Advanced MANPADs (Type 91, 91 Kai, Starstreak)
- Strela-10, Chaparral analogue as short IR system (Type 81 in both variations of realisation)
- Current Type 81C and Tan-SAM Kai as advanced short IR systems
- MICA VL as medium range IR and ARH system
- Type 03 and Type 03 Kai as heavy long range ARH missiles
- PAC-2, PAC-3, PAC-3 MSE as extra-long range SAM
Yeah 2 categories are missing
- High BR SAM with guns and missiles
- High BR SAM with SACLOS missile
But here isn’t any variant to get something like that and tbh missing of this SAMs and adding all what was described previously make Japanese TT even more unique
i need it!!!
For the time being, I’d be fine if they fixed Tan-SAM kai. Besides the inaccuracies like the radar spinning the wrong way, there is one thing that really limits the system - missing IOG+DL on the IR missile, effectively LOAL. It would make it much easier to shoot down highly maneuverable planes and helis without IRCCM.
Does it really have iog+dl ? Didn’t see any bug reports abt that.
Yes, it does. I made a bug report about it missing the UTDC that went through but so far has not seen implementation yet.
Unfortunately this is photoshop:
Chaiseri Defence Vehicle present for the first time at IDEX
What 57 mm and 105 mm rockets do/did Thailand use? They made MLRS in those calibers, but I can’t figure out what rockets they actually use to figure out how much penetration they would (by guesstimating it based on other rockets in-game), or if they have 57 mm armor-piercing rockets which could make one of their MLRS potentially quite deadly.
Main line equipment should never be premium and we shouldn’t be fine with that as if thats just how things are now and it’s fine. One of the worst mistakes gaijin has done. Premiums used to be rare or specific production numbers. That has changed and it’s for the worse. Hey you’re from Norway and wanna play that nation? Well pay up kiddo!
