If you only want Japan heli then this probably the end, but if the asean tree added as a subtree to Japan, then maybe we might get some new stuff like the Malaysian MD500, That AH-6 or Indon Mi-35
OH-1 Ninja could be a pretty cool event vehicle, pretty limited use but would be quite funny
Isn’t its only armament is the manpad? But if gaijin giving it scout capability then I might bring it as a type 93 replacement
Yes, it has only 4 Type 91 missiles
I’d love a scout heli, spawn it in the beginning and scout everyone you see
The enemy IRIS-T SLM will give you a quick reality check.
pretty much but hey it looks cool :D
imagine its at BR 10.7
Just wait a couple weeks when the SPAA hype dies down and then it’s business as usual lol
List of bugs I’ve found on the Tan-Sam Kai so far. Some of these can only be reproduced in battle and won’t appear in the test drive.
- Unreliable radar tracking on the TADS
- Sometimes unable to launch type-81 ARH in “maddog” mode even with TADS radar turned off (seeker circle activates, but the target lock button in the HUD bar is greyed out and you cannot lock/launch)
- Binoculars will sometimes point in a random direction when used from the TADS
- If the ammo type selected on the TADS and the ammo type selected on the TEL is different, the TEL will be forced to reload perpetually
- If you take one load of Type-81C and Type-81 ARH missiles, fire one, switch ammo types, fire all four missiles and reload the original missile, the visual model will immediately show the remaining 3 missiles on the racks
- TEL will sometimes not point at the locked target
- TEL launchers sometimes do not elevate high enough to clear the ground when shooting
- Unsure if intentional, but TEL launchers do not make use of the seeker gimball to lead the target
- If “switch to auxiliary vehicle” is bound to the same key as “switch to drone”, clicking “fire” while in the TEL will place a scout drone marker at the targeted location
Honestly best thing to do right now is just use the ARH missiles and fire the missiles while operating the TEL vehicle itself.
hard to do when the radar sucks ass, I’ll be using the regular type-81c until at least that’s fixed
I’d much rather use the IR missiles if they had UTDC as they should. No point in using missiles that can only be fired at an afterburning target 8 kilometers away, it needs to be launched without a lock just like the ARH missile.
No arguments here. Unfortunately because Japan is a minor nation we can’t have nice things
I wish you could just use it as an 81c with search tracking, but the stupid radar forces your reticle on anything it picks up
Solution to that is to turn off the radar, but it takes forever because it needs to rotate to the forward position, then fold flat, then wait for the TWS tracks to fade for you to be able to use the IR missiles normally
like. Instead of whatever goofy schizo search pattern they’re currently using for AESA radars, why can’t they adjust the radar cone to be the same size as the entire search area
