The m163 isn’t a bad system, the problem is it just barely works at its BR… Then in an uptier it’s massively outclassed, if you can learn to lead without the radar it’s not awful, you just need to tuck into cover and ambush aircraft on an incoming dive, an improved radar will definitely help players struggling with cas.
They are a bit artificially limited in logical progression. With a five line and 3 vehicles per line each rank limit that makes it very hard to just add everything in a way that makes sense.
Sure there’s folders, but there’s only so much foldering you can do that still makes sense. Even with one full Thai line it’s already going to be a mess of light tanks, MBTs, self propelled guns all in one with SPAA squeezed between Japanese options.
It’s not so much that things can’t fit, just that it becomes increasingly difficult to have progression make sense especially one you hit that 5 × 3 per rank limit and have to resort to folders.
<3 My lil guy, Gaijin plz
I made a comment in the BR changes thread advocating to reduce the reload time of Chi-Nu & Chi-To’s guns. There is some historical support for this, and it seems unnecessary that their reloads are longer than their most direct counterparts.
Found a higher quality image, so anyone who’s more familiar with the markings can confirm.
It does look like 3BM15 (the sabot and tip). But saying that it wouldn’t surprise me, for a long time it was dirt cheap, so for exercises/training, makes sense to use 3BM15 over other ammunition, if costs are a concern. Also might just be them using up old stocks ig?
I like the way how thermal sight is slapped onto the mantlet beside the main gun, reminds me of the Type 74G (and Strv 105).
Also some Ukrainian ladies ❤️
A side effect of the original NVDs developed for the FV101 being too big to fit in the turret, and the dimensional requirements meant the only space was on the front of the turret. Though personally the Thai Thermal sight looks so much better than the British one (picture below), the wire grill makes it look pretty cool imo.
On the old Oplot-T thread it saids that thai army uses Chinese APFSDS for those tanks, but what APFSDS then would be? I’m not well known about Chinese APFSDS.
RTA uses BTA-4 for VT-4 which is export variant of in-game DTW-125
They use BTA4 for VT-4, we (community) guess they also use it for the Oplot-T, but I don’t remember that we would have pictures of it, just 3BM25 iirc, which seems to be used as practice training round sometimes.
Does the M48A5PI have a stabiliser?
I understand that it has a LRF.
Found this video posted by Thai reserve officer training corps student, looks like it has a laser rangefinder in M48A5
Not sure if is this thing a stabilizer ?
If equipped with stabilisers, it would be an effective tank to fill holes in 8.3-9.0 decks.
Looks more like a mechanical linkage to the commander’s sight to me
9.0 plz 🙏
They don’t have limit of posting vehicle’s inside view?
I remember they even posted lots about VT-4, T-84BM and other newest equipemts…
What was the fire control vehicle for the Hawk missiles in the JGSDF? I’m trying to figure out if it would be possible to add, but that’s dependent on if the fire control and/or radar vehicle is actually self-mobile or not.

It is Japanese HAWK unit. Japan had all PIP I, PIP II, PIP III modifications.
I am not really good about HAWK but never seen the self-propelled FCS, radars and etc where all vehicles can move by itself. Mostly it is towed by trucks.
Also never seen any photo of HAWK on that M727 system in Japan and it won’t be surprise if Japan didn’t have self-propelled HAWK because it is not pretty needed
