like the type needed to go to 11.7 wtf
Now think about it for a moment: they moved TXP (P) (and maybe they will move Type 90s once Fuji sales drop) because at downtiers (which happen once in a dozen games) it would do better than average 11.3 tank (because your enemy is 5 beers deep T-72AB TURMS-T player who just bought this to grind USSR).
And, my favorite, the fact that now it will face less enemies in downtier… but absolutely forgot about uptiers. Suuuuuuuuurely my paper box tank whoose only real strenght is 4s autoloader with a sort of better mobility can compete with Strv 122B+ and other late Leopard 2A5/6/7 derrivatives who are just 0.3 BR higher (totally not a top-tier compression, trust me bro).
It would be worth a try at least.
I doubt it can be realised in game. To specific thing to add separate handle rangefinders on vehicle
Has gaijin made any announcement or comment about the thai ground subtree being confirmed?
Thailand is a subtree, so Thai ground vehicles will be added to Japan if they come.
The only real question is when that is, and if any Thai ground vehicles are being worked on.
I know they would come to japan, but has gaijin said something to the likes of “The thai ground subtree [for japan] is definitely coming”?
Not that I’m aware of, but there was a leak last year about some ASEAN vehicles for Japan, including Thai vehicles.
This wasn’t enough for a full subtree of Thai vehicles alone, since there was also Indonesian and Singaporean vehicles though.
Making more Thai vehicles could take quite a bit of time, so if this is what they’re going for my guess is the second half of this year unless they already had more Thai vehicles in the works than we know.
If they go for more ASEAN nations it might be quicker, considering the age of the leak by now. Obviously Thailand Indonesia and Singapore might as well be done already, though it is possible with the semi-recent controversy they would skip Singapore.
If they do exclude Singapore we could expect them to remake roughly a third of this subtree, most likely with more Thai and Indonesian vehicles since the next least controversial option in the Philippines doesn’t really have comparable vehicles to what Singapore would’ve likely added.
But all of those are just guesses, who knows what Gaijin’s really up to.
players are good = lets nerf them by upping the BR
What may we get form next update? looks German will get IRIS-T, China get there version 25mm with missle aa, what Japan may add into game?
at least they say will have a new jet in JP, hope is a strong enough F-2…
For Japan, the only thing that would make sense is the Type 11 Tan-SAM Kai II. The only other mobile AA system is Type 03 Chu-SAM, but I don’t think we will get SAMs with 50+km range any time soon.
Thai VL MICA and Singaporean SPYDER-SR are also options with less than 50km range.
Ares, I know you’re knowledgeable when it comes to all sorts of military machinery, so could you explain to me how exactly does the Type 11 work? Some sources say it is inertial with terminal IR, but fe. your suggestion says it’s ARH. I’d like to finally know. :D
It is ARH only, there isn’t IR version of Type 11 missiles
Does that mean heli campers are immune?
you fools think the type 11 will ever get added but in reality gaijin will just keep moving up the type 81 forever to pretend japan has a top tier AA
isnt there an ARH missile for the type 81 in the files…
There is.
Gaijin originally said it wasn’t added because it can’t be used independently without FCS vehicle. Then what it was proven that it can I think they said it was too powerful and since then we’ve been waiting for it.
It’d be interesting to see soon hopefully. We already have longer ranged missiles than the 14km of the SAM-1C ARH, so the only new thing would be to wonder how they model PESA ARH.
I just hope they don’t leave us stuck with only the lightwave missile for another year because their statistics say Type 81 overperforms…
we could maybe get the upgraded Type 89 FV with Type 01 LMAT’s as the Type 79 ATGM stockpile is effectively 0 now
maybe even Komatsu LAV/Type 96 APC with Type 01 LMAT
(Video below)
Another case of gaijin just outright denying japan stuff, and then immediately contradicts themselves
