As it is rn, the KF41 is much worse than the Puma anyway. All that APS looks nice in theory, but it rarely works. If you ever want to play Italy, just get Freccia instead.
I reported on the fuel tanks of the Chi-Ha and its variants. In the game, the Chi-Ha series has batteries and oil tanks incorrectly modeled as fuel tanks.

MPMS, Chu MPM’s and Type 96 APC with Type 01LMAT/Komatsu LAV with Type 01 LMAT atgm could be a nice 10.3-11.0 set
if i recall the MPMS was accepted a while ago but never got anywhere
low defence/no defence and lightly armored but for the most part fire and forget (limited to amount has + ammo crate)
Just realized this while looking at the Type 74 (E), but the all of the Type 74s should be able to use a dozer blade. It’s explicitly stated in their Outlines in two places:
Section 2. Main structure / function:
…
(8) A tank can be equipped with a dozer device consisting of a soil removal device, a hydraulic device, and etc., by modifying part of the vehicle body.
(9)* Tanks can be equipped with demining rollers according to the Formal R 3603 by installing the additional equipment shown in Appendix 7 and Appendix 1. (Excludes vehicle equipped with a dozer device)
*(9) is only included in the Outline of the Type 74 (F) and the Type 74 (G), though no Type 74 (G) has ever been modified with the Type 92 demining rollers or their placement joints to my knowledge.
Table 3: Structure, performance, and specifications of each part
…
Number 34/35* | Dozer device | Straight dozer | 1 set | Special accessories
*It is number 35 in the Outline of the Type 74 (G), number 34 in the Outlines of all prior versions.
All modern vehicles aside, I’d also like Japanese tech tree be filled with more mid/low rank vehicles, in particular, if Thai sub is added, I look forward for this thingy to come alongside it:
No armor, not the fastest and overall less of a SPAA but with gun similar to the one we have in-game can be a funny tank annihilator
Did Thailand ever acquire the high-velocity ammunition developed for the “pom-pom?” I’m guessing no, which would mean its anti-aircraft ability wouldn’t be as good, but it should still be a fun tank.
The Type 76 and 81s would also be neat, though practically identical if they’re both added so I figure at least one would be premium. The only distinguishing features between them is the the Type 76 uses the original Mk. E hull, while the Type 81 uses the later Mk. E hull that incorporated features of the failed Mk. F prototype.
The Type 83 (Ha-Go) could also work, since the Thai modified it at one point to first remove the shrouds from the machine guns, and eventually outright removed the turret machine gun. This could be reflected in having an impact in-game by giving the Thai Type 83 a slightly faster reload.
Lastly, the postwar imported T17E2 and the converted M3 halftrack into SPG would be neat and would fit into the low ranks without ruining the aesthetic. The T17E2s could also come in two modified versions, with the initial version in service with the Police having been converted to use a single Type 97 20 mm. That would effectively make it a wheeled So-Ki. When the Army acquired it, they replaced the gun with a Madsen m/38, which should have slightly better ballistics than the Type 97.
The M3 halftrack was also the basis for two SPGs, one by the army and one by the navy. The army one used a modified 105 mm Type 80, a Bofors L/22 that had been rechambered for 105x372 mm R due to the stock of Bofors 105 mm ammunition. Theoretically, this would give it the capability to fire everything that the Sherman 105 can. Practically, I’m not sure if Thailand every received M67 HEAT and the M1 HE is not powerful enough to be used even at 1.0 alone. Gamewise, Gaijin already showers vehicles with ammunition and ordnance they never used (i.e. Type 87 RCV & APFSDS), so it’s a moot point. The navy one used an old 47 mm Hotchkiss from 1885. It would be somewhat usable, having somewhere around 40 mm of penetration, but it would be far from good.
As practice shows, ammo in this game is more of a balancing feature that Gaijin uses to influence the efficency of one or another vehicle and its BR (see Vextra 105 and Type 16 (P) and FPS). Since this vehicle uses “pom-pom” that can use this kind of ammo, Gaijin may easily add it to make it a “viable” vehicle (after all, there is pretty much no SPAAGs w/out AT ammo, except maybe M247, but that thing was dumb OP with both AP and HE-VT shells. The earlier was removed for, yet again, balancing factors).
Speaking of M3 w/ 105, if it was chambered to use American rounds, it can technically get HEAT round as well, being a balancing feature. Even if it comes w/out it (which would be pity), the HE would still bonk pretty much every tank even at 1.7 (Chi-Ha SG, for reference, has a bit more HE filler but far worse ballistics coupled with worse aiming capabilities). Funny auto-cannon cars will easily fill the 1.x BR bracket at rank 1 if Thailand gets its full line and not a continuation of existing ones like it was w/ air forces tree.
Overall, its up to Gaijoobles if they want to give or remove rounds, so, as long as there is possibility and some logical connection to addition of one thing to another (like naval “pom-pom” that, at the time of service, could use AP rounds, or Type 16’s JSW which derrived from British L7 and got a compatible DM23 round), anything is possible.
It seems that the Type 60 SPRG is equipped with a rangefinder, but there are a few problems.
First of all, some of the specification documents for the C variant aren’t archived—specifically, the table that covers the rangefinder. However, the documents for the original Type 60 and the D variant are available, and both state that a 75 cm rangefinder is located on the upper surface of the left ammo stowage.
Tables from the specifications
17 | 視察装置 | 測遠機 75 cm | 左弾庫上面 | 1基
17 | Observation device | Rangefinder 75 cm | Left ammo stowage upper surface | 1
So I compared the plans of each variant, and noticed that all of them seem to have a box on the left stowage, which looks like it could be used to store a rangefinder 75 cm long.
This makes me think that they all have a hand-held rangefinder, although I don’t have solid confirmation.
So, it is very likely that the Type 60 including the C variant have a rangefinder, but the questions are:
- Was it actually hand-held? And would the developers accept a hand-held rangefinder as a vehicle optics?
- Is this enough evidence to convince the devs, given that the C variant’s specification about the rangefinder is not archived?
Do you think the devs would give the Type 60 a rangefinder?

So acording with the datamine, the Type 81 and TKX (p) br change is going to happen…
like the type needed to go to 11.7 wtf
Now think about it for a moment: they moved TXP (P) (and maybe they will move Type 90s once Fuji sales drop) because at downtiers (which happen once in a dozen games) it would do better than average 11.3 tank (because your enemy is 5 beers deep T-72AB TURMS-T player who just bought this to grind USSR).
And, my favorite, the fact that now it will face less enemies in downtier… but absolutely forgot about uptiers. Suuuuuuuuurely my paper box tank whoose only real strenght is 4s autoloader with a sort of better mobility can compete with Strv 122B+ and other late Leopard 2A5/6/7 derrivatives who are just 0.3 BR higher (totally not a top-tier compression, trust me bro).
It would be worth a try at least.
I doubt it can be realised in game. To specific thing to add separate handle rangefinders on vehicle
Has gaijin made any announcement or comment about the thai ground subtree being confirmed?
Thailand is a subtree, so Thai ground vehicles will be added to Japan if they come.
The only real question is when that is, and if any Thai ground vehicles are being worked on.
I know they would come to japan, but has gaijin said something to the likes of “The thai ground subtree [for japan] is definitely coming”?
Not that I’m aware of, but there was a leak last year about some ASEAN vehicles for Japan, including Thai vehicles.
This wasn’t enough for a full subtree of Thai vehicles alone, since there was also Indonesian and Singaporean vehicles though.
Making more Thai vehicles could take quite a bit of time, so if this is what they’re going for my guess is the second half of this year unless they already had more Thai vehicles in the works than we know.
If they go for more ASEAN nations it might be quicker, considering the age of the leak by now. Obviously Thailand Indonesia and Singapore might as well be done already, though it is possible with the semi-recent controversy they would skip Singapore.
If they do exclude Singapore we could expect them to remake roughly a third of this subtree, most likely with more Thai and Indonesian vehicles since the next least controversial option in the Philippines doesn’t really have comparable vehicles to what Singapore would’ve likely added.
But all of those are just guesses, who knows what Gaijin’s really up to.
players are good = lets nerf them by upping the BR
What may we get form next update? looks German will get IRIS-T, China get there version 25mm with missle aa, what Japan may add into game?
at least they say will have a new jet in JP, hope is a strong enough F-2…
For Japan, the only thing that would make sense is the Type 11 Tan-SAM Kai II. The only other mobile AA system is Type 03 Chu-SAM, but I don’t think we will get SAMs with 50+km range any time soon.
