GCS-1 is not MITL, so it still is unlikely.
However, there was supposedly a datalink capable ASM-2 variant, which would have MITL, which might actually make it half usable against ground targets.

Lowkey im going to have to do a little bit more research, but this might actually be enough. (Although, depending on what the research says, theres no guarantee it would actually go to japan).
It is in kinda a grey spot, since suggestion rules dont cover unfinished prototype export vehicles. But going by finished protype rules atleast as a suggestion it would be far more likely to go to the nations that actually developed it…
I think both nations could have it but there is a policy of arms development especially back in the day with Japan as she could work with other nations. Don’t know if there was some of that here but Japan loves jumping into Euro weapons projects and some how the whole thing fails.
Anyway Japan could get a few export vehicle suggestions (cough cough tomcat) but lets not start a riot here :-)

I wonder on your thoughts on this was there any cross training with Japanese pilots on USA military planes stationed in Japan? I have heard during the Cold War the USA wanted to make sure they could use Japanese pilots to fly there aircraft including fighters if there was an emergency or the JSDF air force had her wings cut there pilots could use American planes to fill the gaps. Wondering if this could be like a flying tigers thing providing maybe a few options to the tree.
Ik there were some exhcanges, ive heard accounts of US pilots in F-2Bs, and iirc there was some practice of japanese pilots on american F-35s before their domestic production was fully up, but i dont remember much about how widespread it was.
I still think it’s more important to see what nation something is made for than where the company that made it is from. If I make a prototype for a nation it shouldn’t matter where I’m from.
(Intended) Operator > Manufacturer
That said I’m not convinced anything about the Japanese Eurofighter is actually uniquely made for Japan. It just seems to be an off the shelf export offer that happens to include something nobody else bought. But none of it was developed for Japan specifically.
It could be added now to be used against naval targets.
That’s true but considering they haven’t added ASM-1 for the F-1 I don’t think improving the anti-ship capabilities are a priority for the devs, hopefully one day they will add them at least for ASM role like you said
It is really must be added since ALL mechanics for this bombs were added and even model is in game
I mean I hope so we have nuclear escalation with naval targets now so it would be nice.
I actually rather use GCS against ai ships more then ASMs tbh since GCS are just bombs and are more effective at killing ships only issue is you probably have to get closer but it’s a trade off
F-1 supports CCRP, so you can use bomb tossing to greatly extend your range.
i wish it still had the rocket and gun CCIP
Some kind of plane in hiding lol comments in X are saying dumb things like an F-3 prototype or something most likely just F-35B or something

that looks quite big even though it is so much further away that the F-2
I will admit it does look pretty big but could be an illusion
Fake aaahhh image of a mig-21

Maybe fake? First I’ve seen this
Maybe?
It is just a photoshop fake
Just an edited image where decals were added
Similar was done to JAS-39, viggen, MiGs and other planes
I was just trying to be funny but apparently I’m as funny as a puddle so yeah is clearly fake
I dont really like this type of fun because it creates dumb myths about Japanese stuff
