General Bugs or National Favoritism

So, There are a lot of bugs in game. Some people see certain ones as a national bias while others see them as just old coding that effects everyone.

What i want for this post is to basically do a deep dive into these bugs. See whether they really are attributed to a certain nation, and basically have a uniformed list that people can look at and clearly understand. (This isn’t for reporting such bugs, please make a support ticket if you feel inclined too)
(Also look to see if there already is a bug report, Don’t spam the same bugs)

Please keep a clear and concise format like this:
(Bug name): Description of bug in 1-3 sentences.
(Personal opinion): 1-2 sentences.
(Possible Poll) Is it bug Y/N Is it for a nation Y/N

Historical issue:
Modern composites being allegedly under-stated in War Thunder.

My opinion:
I believe Gaijin would rather conservatively estimate modern composites than estimate too highly as to avoid too strong of armor at the top end of War Thunder.

Vehicles with modern composites include but are not limited to:
M1A2 SEP2, T-90M, MBT-2000, Type 10, Leopard 2A7V, Merkava Mk4, Challenger 2…

Tornado GR1 Engines

I think one of the clearest examples I can think is with the Tornado IDSs.

There are 8 in game

3 in the German Tree (2x 11.3, 1x 11.7)
3 In the Italian Tree (1x 11.3, 2x 11.7)
and 2 in the British Tree. (1x 11.7, 1x 12.3)

7 of them have the Mk103 engine. 1 has the notably weaker Mk101 engine. That is the British Tornado GR1. Reason given? “Makes a feeling of progression with the Tornado Gr4”.

Thats it, thats their entire argument for the GR1 having weaker engines. What is most insane about this, is that there is 10x the differences between the GR1 and the GR4 than there is between the Italian IDS and IDS (1995) (or even between the IDS and MLU RET 8) and yet none have the Mk101 for the same reason.

Yes, it 100% could and did use the Mk103

For some reason. Britain and Britain alone has a weaker engine than the other 8 identical airframes in-game, including 3 at a lower BR and 3 at the same BR, purely for a completely made up BS reason.

Especially annoying when we also lack the 11.3 option as well, though BRs is another entirely different issue for the Tonkas

Typhoon 1000lb GPS GBU

Another smaller one. All 3 Typhoons have nearly a 100% Identical A2G loadout, there is 2 differences

  1. Britain gets Mk13 instead of the Mk83 - This is a fairly standard change and affects nothing in the long run

  2. Britain gets the Mk18 SAL-Only GBU instead of the GBU-48 which is SAL+GPS. Why? No idea. Britain has its own SAL+GPS thats been in the files for over a year and its not like they have issue with Typhoons sharing loadout options, we just straight up have a weaker loadout because “reasons”.

Im just tired of buggy stuff not getting fixed on certain russian tanks because it gives them an edge while i others fight the bug report system for months or years for slight changes

Bug. Scimitar CVRT suspension is too soft and travels too far making the thing unplayable on rough terrain

Ive reported the bug several months ago now and it appears to have joined the long list of bugs ignored because its convenient to the devs to ignore it

(Bug name): Aircraft with wooden skin do not fuze mineshells
(Personal opinion): Wooden skin primarily describes mosquitoes and USSR propeller aircraft.
