shouldt it be other way around as strategic nukes are more powerfull than tactical ones, or is just my english that poor?
That’s the bmp1a1 ost
i think i should change “away” to “further”
Im no native english speaker but that still reads as if tactical nukes are scarier than strategic, no?
Its ultimately pointless, it just confused me.
my intention was that strategic nukes are just one level of escalation away from tactical nukes
but i can understand how my wording was confusing lol
“no more copy paste for germany” my brother in christ you, wont like what im about to tell you about east german military equipment between the 1940’s up until its disolvement in the 1990’s… but its ALL from russia/USSR, its ALL copy and paste. and you know why? because all the engineers and people who could mkae stuff were either dead, stolen to the US or the USSR, so they kinda had no choice.
As a East german myself i would actually welcome more TT east german vehicles because im NOT gonna pay money to play a vehicle of the literaly place im living in (± 40 years obviously).
90% but i agree with the message :)
A hearty +1, the GDR is an integral subtree to the German TT and their service equipment is a fantastic means of filling gaps in the TT and providing unique FRG/GDR lineups. This is good copy-paste.
I don’t believe the gdr is a subtree. Its just Germany
Hey folks, this thread’s turned into a back-and-forth about German 8.7 lineups, Hummel vs M44/M55 roles, and premium-vs-TT philosophy, none of which is about the vehicle actually being suggested here. Please keep replies focused on the suggestion itself (its validity, sourcing, historical accuracy, etc.). Take the broader “what should Germany’s tech tree look like” discussion to a general discussion thread or DMs. Further off-topic replies will be hidden. Thanks for understanding.
I understand but due to the historical divisions between the main TT Operator (Germany, 1933-1945) and it’s successors (FRG & GDR) and precursors (German Empire & Weimar Republic, I think the term ‘subtree’ is the best way of defining them. Obviously they are integral to the German TT and could never go elsewhere (for example a GDR vehicle in the USSR TT).
They are listed in game and on the WT Wiki as different Operators to Germany, so are arguably a form of subtree.
i even made a gdr subtree idea once
https://armenlozoneonline.neocities.org/T.Trees/gdr_ground_forces_tech_tree
but there is some stuff thats not from GDR
+1 i don’t care if it copy paste.
Just took a look. Lots of duplicates and excess separation of vehicles that could be modifications. Also, you have some errors with the Raketenjagdpanzer SPW-40 (9M14) and the following 9P110. The SPW-40 was equipped with the same 6-missile launcher as the 9P110, and the 9P110 did not use the SPW-40 (BTR-40) but rather the SPW-40P (BRDM-1), and in East German service it had the name 9P111, featuring extra headlight guards and mounts for two extra fuel tanks on the back.
thanks!
its a bit outdated but illl get to correcting it someday

The T-55AM2 is not license production of T-55AM-1, it is domestic upgrade package with the tank recieving domestic engine, FCS, LWR, LRF, etc. . . The T-55AM2 did recieve gun-fired ATGMs with Bastion system but it was in small numbers, only 27 vehicles recieved this, some of which were exported to East Germany.
thanks for contributing

@DrunkenLamp
hello, if ur looking at my old gdr subtree idea from the website its pretty old, i suggest ignoring it for now except the vehicles themselves (ignore the descriptions etc)
