I have a fresh, crispy, still hot windows install, on a reformatted SSD.
WT redownloaded on a reformatted SSD.
Do you have the same in game issues that I have?
Late loading of ground textures and objects?
After some games most of the ground textures are low quality.
If you change the texture quality in the game, and hit apply, do you get the red message “texture quality reduced…” if you go back in the graphics settings and hover the mouse over the texture quality field?
Yea nah, I got nothing crazy going on.
Do you have win10 or 11?
Windows 11, It’s actually really stable.
I am still on win 10 pro…
Running now a booted memtest on the system RAM, but I am really struggling to see how my system is at fault when everything else works perfectly but WT.
Pretty sad that there is literally no chance to have a proper support from the WT DEVs.
It’s most likely because somewhere along the way it’ll end up being a config/hardware issue usually, and support and tickets are more for account based stuff.
You’ve also got further in this thread with the engagement we’ve had in here.
My launcher log also shows the 3GB of Video RAM, if you’re referring to this line in it:
1.16 [D] videoMemory: 3221225472
I think it’s because the launcher is 32bit (but the game itself is 64bit). This is probably why the 32bit dxdiag also gets started from the launcher.
I have an nvidia 1660Ti with 6GB of RAM. No current issues such as you’re describing with it.
All that we learned here was that the game launches dxdiag 32bit. I already knew from the launcher log that it thinks VRAM is only 3gb.
RAM test shows zero errors.

Beginning of the game, plenty of detail:
visual after spawning a plane:
end of the game with a tank, grass is mostly gone, many ground textures look low res:
Will have a dig this evening.
Commend you for not having a near dead system log.
So, with all taken into account :
- Shadowplay capture length and settings
- Nvidia Broadcast used?
- Temperature readout
Something on your system is causing VRAM usage spike which will cause WT to downscale, not necessarily to do with or caused by Gaijin.
Are you launching via steam or launcher?
I launch from steam directly.
Temperatures are 65C max, I have an evga hybrid 1080 ti which is water cooled.
I tried running the game without geforce experience (so no overlay and ansel, etc…), problem was still there.
Even if I run the game with the lowest texture quality, vram useage will eventually reach 8.7 gb after some matches.
Tried to change LOD behaviour in nvidia settings, did not help. And as i understand things should be fine with the default 3D settings in the nvidia control panel.
The now called nvidia app (just updated today from the geforce exp.) tells me my system does not support Nvidia broadcast (min. 2060 needed).
I cant find Shadowplay in the nvidia app either.
did not run until >8GB, but I dont see significant VRAM use by other processes:
I see here now that the page fault counts is large number, dont know if thats normal.
Hmmmm…
Mind manually limiting the FPS in Nvidia Control panel? Here is a GUIDE if you are not sure how too.
I had it limited to 149 FPS.
The problem also happened persistently when I was using my monitor in 120Hz mode.
run a 1 hour long power test with OCCT, no errors.
Same for gpu memory and shader tests.
I have to say again that the WT official support is very disappointing.
I have to wait several days for their next response, that consists of nothing else but asking a single screenshot of the WT launcher graphics settings…
I am writing pages long descriptions of how the problem happens, how I tested my system…
Why dont they check my system with a remote desktop? I would be willing to go for that…
Why does not the game has a useable debug log, or debug mode?
I just realised I never hit reply on my last message, do apologise. Ever got it resolved?
Also, welcome to add me on discord. It is quicker and easier for me to work hands on than having to go back to what has been covered already. I am ADHD as hell and thread base usually does not work that well. We can return here with cause and resolve.
Thank you, but no solution unfortunately.
I even tried win 11, no luck.
Than rolled back to win 10 with a clean install (again), still no luck.
At least the support recently acknowledged that its an issue and they are working on it.
I tried out some more games, like doom 2016, CS GO 2, etc, no issues there.
This seems to be a recurring problem, I found a lot of old and new (<1month) posts, like this for example:
https://forum.warthunder.com/t/graphics-issue-popup-textures-terrain-line-etc/
The update did not solve this problem.
And now the game is broken for 2 months, well done.
Why do they have to release an “update” that ruins the game?
Does the management think that releasing new features will boost sales?
Unplayable game will have the opposite effect.
Everything was working so nicely in the summer, roll back the game until you fix.
Even the official videos (like the recent F-15) are full of graphics glitches.
Same with WT youtuber’s videos, full of stutters and bad resolution textures.
