Gaijin, your new silly aiming system in Naval is totally broken

New feature of the “new and improved” naval aiming system: now cannons have a mind of their own.

At first my back turret was shooting in the water, then soon after all my guns started shooting in the water. I wasted most of the game shooting fish in front of my ship, instead of the enemy.
I don’t know why I even try anymore. shrug

Btw, why is the “copy link” not working, unless I use an external browser?

Yep it seem they broken aim mechanic even further. Now guns aim downwards if there’s an obstacle in between you and the target.

Yes, the aiming system is broken now. I don’t think it can be fixed today, so I’ll just have to go play Naval History mode.

Yep. Funky part is that some obstacles you can fire over and in some dont. So you just keep wasting salvos.

They had that mechanic before where you were not able to focus on AI ships on Encounter maps that were over some land mass (but still visible). The more convoluted crap they add, the worse the game gets with every bug.

This linked match in the initial post was definitely after I installed the xxx48 patch. However, I had a match before it that I was shooting at the enemy, saw shells hitting the hull (but still doing very little damage). I died very quickly while enemy Admiral Hipper was tanking all the shots. He went gung-ho all the way to our spawn and wiped out everybody (gaijin’s magic), ending the match with 10 kills without dying.

I watched the reply of the match to see what’s going on. Noticed that our team was chock full of destroyers, while the enemy was full of cruisers (once again, gaijin’s magic). Hipper was wiping our destroyers left and right with getting almost no damage. I watched my shots and noticed that THEY WERE ALL GOING OVER the enemy ship. In game I saw my shells hit the turrets, but in replay the shots were all going over (even more gaijin’s magic). No wonder I was not able to ammorack him.

Hipper and turtleback cruisers should not face 4.7 ships at all. Scharnhorst of lower tiers.

Especially not the 4.7 cruisers. At least the destroyers spawn close enough to have some “fair” fight with fellow destroyers before their eventual death.
