“Gaijin, you’re making a mistake — leave the T-55AM1 alone”

Here we go again.

In the next update — yes, it’s not even out yet — Gaijin has decided to raise the T-55AM1, my favorite tank, that I paid 50 dollars for, from BR 8.7 to 9.0.

This is a critical mistake.

It was already borderline at 8.7 — no thermals, mediocre mobility, and an average gun. But at least it had a role. Now? At 9.0, it will become completely unplayable. It’s like paying for a quality product and then receiving something entirely different.

You, the developers, clearly don’t understand what you’re doing. You sell premium vehicles at full price, advertise them with specific stats and roles, and once players get used to them and invest their time, you simply change the balance, effectively making them useless. This isn’t “balancing,” this is — deceiving your customers.

I’m not just upset because it’s my favorite tank. I’m upset because this is a pattern. Every time I buy a premium tank, I risk it being nerfed and rendered useless. And instead of offering any compensation, we only get patch notes with changes that seem unjustified.

50 dollars is not a small amount. It’s more than the price of many full games on Steam. And for what? To watch my tank become completely unplayable just a few months later?

If you’re going to raise the BR, give us the option to refund or exchange the tank. If you’re going to change the characteristics of what we’ve paid for, at least acknowledge that it’s unfair.

I know you won’t do that. Because it seems like your reputation doesn’t matter to you. But this can’t continue forever.

XM-803 is the big predator of any (currently) battle rating 8.0 to battle rating 8.7 vehicle. Ground needs a general decompression by battle rating 8.0,

I’ve been playing Japan at battle rating 9.0 and it’s just incredibly easy and most of the time is a full downtier match. It shows how this battle rating change is messed up by battle rating 11.3 premium vehicles forcing battle rating 10.3 and battle rating 10.0 vehicles in a uptier match.

That’s decompression for you, right there, live and direct. When everything is moving up to create more space so certain tanks dont have to fight really strong vehicles like your beloved t55am-1 anymore that completely outclass them then your t55 is moving up as well. so that you dont see a fully stabilized, frontally almost immune medium! tank with laserrangefinder and dart anymore when you decide to play a ww2! maus, a unstabilized m103, m48, type 87 that outright cant kill it or an amx50 TO90 which is unstabilized but still has to shoot for tiny weakspots or outright can’t do anything to it from the front. Which is a premium Battlepass vehicle people likely paid more for and worked harder to get it.
Oh wait it is 8.0 and can still see your t55 in ground rb.
Im sure you loved clubbing stuff in the t55 that could do nothing to you frontally while being unstabilized, cuz frankly who doesnt like to club or has fun doing it? I own it too. Now is it fair or challenging to exclusively play op vehicles to bully people that are trying to spade mediocre or bad ones?
You just gotta deal with it being put to a fair br 0.3 higher. Like most other tanks around it too

In this case, it’s not the T-55AM-1, the planned battle rating change is touching the best battle rating 8.7 vehicles, which those doesn’t have the best equipment (reads ammunition) against battle rating 9.0 (and superior) vehicles.

aka decompression? like (didnt check) what happens to the event merkava 2 (or2) in the us tech tree? hopefully also moving up? cause i got a strong memory meeting one of those in my amx50 TO90 frontally. needless to say. its a fairly bit stronger “medium” tank. and with that i mean: frontally immune, barrel shot is my only option. but i think it was in sim, so parralax is a thing, hes fully stabilized and has apfsds. while i need to aim, account for parallax, need to hit a tiny pixel after gun is setting and all of that with aphe he can shoot me anywhere. cuz ill never gonna hit the tip of the gun barrel with parralax especially if hes moving it.

As I said before decompression is a whole battle raring. This planned change is only touching Soviet and Swedish vehicles (mainly). This is not decompression, is just a regular battle rating change.

For example, starting by battle rating 8.0 to battle rating 12.0 to increase the battle rating roof to 13.0 or something like that. This is decompression. What we are seeing is more like balance changes in a specific bracket.

i see. well it still decompresses stuff (in a way) because the strongest vehicles which are downright op in full downtiers are moving up, giving breathing room to the stuff 1.0 br below

It going to 9.0 should be fine when it comes to 7.7 vehicles, but I’d like to see some more decompression around this BR.

If A1A1 can be 9.0 so can T-55AM1.

if they increased the BR of many tanks of that rating, I wouldn’t have made a sound, but here it turns out to be some kind of nonsense, they increase the rating of 2-4 vehicles, which is not enough for decompression

i paid the full price for it instead of waiting for a sale because i heard its an overperforming vehicle and now i have to actually put thought in my gameplay to perform well, i hate that.

Agreed on the decompressing thing. 8.7s in general club 7.7s as most have full stab + LRF, but get clubbed by 9.3s/9.7s, as a lot of those tanks get some semblance of armor and some have thermals.Weird that the ikv-91 105 and the strv-103c are being moved up, considering those two are just kind of mid imo.

now would you look at that. The swedish t55 which is downright worse is also moving from 8.7 to the exact same br of 9.0. if a worse tank can be there why cant your t55am1? and the strv103 c is also going up? Can you explain to me in all honesty why your t55am1 should be sitting at a lower br than the strv 103 that is good on one to two spots per map and otherwise close to unusable?

Strv 103C is good when stopped and the target is also stopped. Ikv-91-105 is like driving a Geo Metro 2, a brick, but the cannon is good, but the platform compared to the Ikv-91 is terrible.

so the Swede needs to change the BR, and not displace other tanks
