That´s the explanation you guys are looking for.
War Thunder was always the Mother of all Hardcore grind but the constant RP income reduction efforts naturally also affected indirectly Crew XP income.

Crew XP were not nerfed. They work the same as before. Case closed.
If you are getting less RP, there is already thread for that.
Nothing indirect about it. It’s DIRECTLY affected XP and to earn 500 or 600 RP meaning about 20 XP for a 10 kill game is garbage. I thought Gaijin were supposed to be addressing the economy in this game. Making the grind so tedious that the only way to advance at better than glacial pace is to bust out a credit card is NOT addressing the economy. The more they adopt this attitude, the LESS likely I am to buy Premium again. Seems they learnt little to nothing from the previous community backlash…
Crew XP was nerfed big time long time ago. Now I don’t bother as all my crews are around 100-150. This is one of the reason I don’t start new tree, no point to grind for 3 years crews to hit lev 50 or so.
What you have to realize is this:
You don’t get your RP for the kills. Kills will up your SL income.
Afaik, the RP reward scales with the product of your acivity and your time in battle. So if you kill a lot in a short battle, you may end up with less RP, than if you performed mediocre but the battle was much longer.
100? I thought 1000
I mean I played a bit of Wyvern Yesterday and got a good amount of Crew exp but over the last week I spaded my Charioteer Mk VII and managed to get around 700-900crew XP in the entire spade. I would need to check how much RP I earned, but my guess is more than that. I only know because when I first put in the CHario I just leverled up my reload skill and had less than 5 XP left and the next level was around 595 I believe and I got that two days ago when only smoke shells and brakes where left to research. I think the Crew now sits at around 100-300XP
But that is still a joke considering I am playing a mid tier tank. At this rate I will have maxed reloading and Comander ability for the 10% buff when I reach 11.0. We really need more than that considering that currently the Crew is the most P2W aspect of the game. reducing repair times from 50s to 15s in some special cases or even just to 20s is insane. Switching of wounded crew from 15s to 5s and so on. A lvl 150 Crew is fully capable of making a useles tank into a monster. Expert and Ace are also a bad mechanic for that and the Grind required to get a free Ace even in midtier is beyond insane for a single vehicle we are talking about at least 300 to 1000 ingame hours.
I`d argue that we need to get at least 25% in RB games on the RP we earn considering the current prices and free Ace needs to be cut by 50 to 80%. A complete overhaul of the mechanic to make it not P2W would be better tho.
No they do not. In WoT I literally had a single crew for most vehicles adn just used the free creew switch for them. in WoWs it was even better by having just 4 captains per nation which fit all four main roles also gettinmg a 100% captain in WoWs takes less than 100 ingame hours with premium and no more than 250 without. You could also spend gold to convert free EXP to cpt levels and you got on average around 300gold just for playing and if lucky you got up to another 700 from free containers each month.
So I don`t know where your argument is comming from.
So you managed to get 150 XP in 50 minutes which you can only do once a day for full rewards.
so considering Leadership costs 4021xp to max, similar to reloading with its 3060 XP needed. then we add field repair on all which is another 3060XP per crew member (so between 9180XP and 18360XP with 15300XP(5 man crew) being the most common)
so for the best repair, reload and small buffs to everything else we need 22381XP to not be behind and have a decent enough level to get Expert and be competetive at around 6.0 to 8.7
So it would take you with the most efficient grind pattern and premium 125h to get this far. on a single slot So for anyone else that is more likely to be around 300h To max the crew you need 83784XP (according to Reddit, all else so far has been taken from skDoger`s great video about Crew Skils) which woldl take you around 466h for a single slot.
So yea no. That is way to much. it should not take more than 50h to get my first example done and no more than 150h per slot. Everything else is just excessive and puts you at a disadvantage. It is also quite unfair that to get the basics in ground you need more than 2/3 of the XP for a Lvl 70 crew in a plane.
So if you play both Tanks and planes my advise to you is. Don`t play midtiers because without the skills you are at a serious disadvantage and your only other option is to pay Gajin around 100€ to get all your crews up to spec.
Yeah… and this is why I ONLY play 1 nation currently. I dont mind the idea of grind through the trees again. But its the crew disadvantage I dont want to deal with
Not sure if crew XP was ever nerfed. It was just never good to begin with. Crew XP really needs to be overhauled with the rest of the economy.
The real commonality in all of these threads having issues with grind/economy/‘troubles’ of ANY sort, is that many times the players themselves envy what others have already unlocked and merely want thiers unlocked faster.
So common that it’s rather sad to see.
It’s like people really don’t have staying power, or drive to accomplish anything, and would rather be given things.
The rewards being changed for the loss/win to being them more in line with each other was a show of it… ‘Make it so it doesn’t matter if you lose or not then teamwork doesn’t matter because as long as I do good, I don’t care about the rest of the match… Unless they get me killed, or kill me, then they need removing…’ This mentality, is absolutely backward…
You find it sad to see that people are pissed at the fact that they are being incredibly disadvantaged in comparison to people who played the game earlier because Gaijin have continued to nerf the economy to the point that now any progress made in either unlocking tanks, spading tanks or spading crews is on a glacial pace unless you bust out a hefty credit card, while players who played WT years ago were afforded reasonable progress? Let me guess which camp you fall into…
Hope you are not pleased to suffer the horrible grind. The so called “Hardcore Grind” shouldn’t be the excuse to enslave players in their game. Like, a game shouldn’t take player several years to make it to top of only 1 nation.
The most unfortunate thing is that now everything is bad with “lions” and it has become difficult to earn them! If you play normally even in the 2-3rd rank, earning 100k is not an option at all! Do not forget that the Rossiyskaya company and the developers are 90% Russian.
And in general, there is such a saying in Russia (Works? Do not touch)
In Arcade Assault you may get 2 boosters once a day, indeed.
But you may play this mode many times (limited to your time) to continue to get XP.
In fact, I grind many new planes and to develop the early modules I have no other solution but playing Arcade Assault multiple times by day. It gives me also about 200 crew XP by hour.
As for the 300% RP boosters, I don’t find using them consistent. Each time I have a big booster I either: crashed, teamkilled, average in my game due to my stress and 100% bullied by the match maker
Bro I already showed you the math. It is literally impossibel to have what others PAID for to have.
If you want 5 lvl 150 crew slots for ground RB you will need to spend over 2300 hours in the game playing arcade assault. That is not “sad” or “envy” that is reality and absurdity.
I noticed an increase
So you ONLY play arcade assault?
It’s envy… Over what you cannot see that you can get yourself.
I actually find it sad to see that even with help available, a heap of players can’t see any ‘team’ other than themselves.
I don’t even think many of this new generation know much of the game to be honest as whenever I’m explaining game mechanics in game chats, I get scoffed at and flamed for being ‘wrong’ because certains ones don’t want to see it or something at various times, but that’s just them being triggered.
But really, I am of the old camp, I ground out a lot more than even some who proclaim to be old school have as I merely stayed, rather than leaving, saying it was too much ‘work’ and bail out, to come back each event cycle, making out that things are all so hard, and so unfair…
It’s a commonality I find, often… It may be true what they say, if you find one once or twice, but if you find one daily maybe you are one…
I genuinely may be, and I don’t care. Same with this ‘wrong’ junk.
I don’t think RP reduction was intentional.
I state that as someone that hasn’t noticed any serious reduction in my RP over the last 5 years.
I think they reworked code and it had a result of slightly lower RP.
But hey, at least they’re reworking the code to buff RP rewards this summer.
@Sir_Swearsalot Dude, stop trying to provoke us with your disinformation.
Gaijin is working on the economy.
Why are you less likely to buy premium if Gaijin listens to players?
