Until gaijin decide your fishing boat with a 20mm cannon needs to square off against a destroyer from 1940.
There is literally no reason to play coastal at all. Top tier coastal is just such a brutal grind because you’ve got ships 10x your size and 10x the firepower being placed against you.
And lets not forget, some of these fishing boats need the same amount of RP as a Mig29 before you can unlock them.
I’m convinced gaijin seriously regrets naval, especially coastal and just wants it to die.
im trying to get my hands on some rank 3 bluewater ships in the japanese tec tree but its just making me toxic and considering to quit the game for good…
Imagine having to wait up to 10 minutes if not more to queue just for Coastal, that’s the level of how unpopular this specific branch is, in comparison either a top tier and a lower tier helicopter usually match together. Instead Gaijin should merge the research points gained in Bluewater torwards Coastal vessels if they’re planning to not return Coastal-exclusive matches—since there are maps made for Coastal like the Drowned City which guess what: It’s coastal exclusive, and even better there are no coastal-exclusive matchmaking, so naturally to match in this map is impossible even playing with Coastal vessels.
