Is this your first time hitting relict it does that

Hmm, can anyone check if APDSFS can overpen buildings? (I know HEAT can do this). Because, by looks, you might hit the corner of the building, overpen it and then with weakened round finally go for Relict

That is the shell casing, not the rod.

Yeah, re-watching more and more it seems like it (still could be server lag at play. We really need sensor screen for ground)

Hard to believe that relikt does that when it can’t stop a Bradley which only has a 25mm gun…

If we’re gonna bring real life into this then its hard to believe a Cr2 can stop my 1500kg bomb when IRL a lancet launches it into LEO

Some time ago i saw 292 didn’t pen Abrams at the side. So what? What does it prove?

Rod hits at least 1 ERA block and goes through to hit the plate.
Plausible ricochet for sure.

nah, hitting that spot with dm53 has also been unreliable for me, the fucking ERA somehow eats it

This was just a case bad luck, a little bit up you would have hit the gunner, you hit the exact place where the armor plate is angled just enough to have the maximum effectiveness against your apdsfs(Obs: depending on the angle you can fail to pen even on a stock T-90M that has way less era and steel plates)

Spoiler

here is what i felt was was the shot, based on the X-ray on the replay, with the entering angle slightly above the wheel

same spot a but a shot a bit higher

(i doubt anyone can consistently hit this small spot over and over again even if they want)

Correction,

You doubt you can consistently hit this small spot over and over even if you wanted.

Some of us can

Gaijin in its purest form. You can’t trust aiming in vulnerable areas, because when the game decides it, your bullet doesn’t penetrate enough, saving the opposing player. As long as Gaijin doesn’t fix this stupid algorithm and sets penetration and damage in a stable way, this game will continue to be garbage in which the game decides what you do in the game, not your skill.

Never once seen the issue you describe first-hand or in videos.
I doubt you’ll ever have evidence for your claim.
Penetration is already set in stone and stable.

The spalliner blocked the APDSFS and if he was hitting a T-80BVM then it would certain result into instant death or serously damage for the crew.

Well, in the video of the post it is made very clear.

No, the video shows the round going through ERA and hitting the plate at the end.
At no point does it do as your previous post describes.

My advice to everyone was to hit idler wheels avoiding anything other than the idler wheel and the visualization of the armor behind it.

He hit ERA, which is outside my own advice I give people.
I have not made his shot in my memory, thus I cannot say that it’s impossible.
And I doubt you’ve hit that exact shot either as people are rare to be consistent in their own shots let alone share bouncing shots others do with few exceptions.

Exactly, it is an APDS-FS hit by an ERA that can only reduce the penetration of the projectile, so it would continue to pierce, going through the lateral soft spot behind that ERA and possibly reaching the ammunition depot. However, in the game the bullet is almost stopped by the ERA, and when it penetrates it ends up doing ridiculous damage.
