But that makes removing APDS entirely unnecessary from a gameplay point of view since it won’t be moved down in BR either way. So is it actually a historical change and Falcon could never use APDS?
Yeah, I mean 180 APDS vs 40 in other SPAAs much difference, but if it didn’t have them it must go lower, at least with radar no more than 8.0
7.7, the radar will likely not be that good and the thing is pointless at 8.0 or 8.3 without something like APDS, might as well use the 2 other spaas at the BR instead
I don’t even think it’s that much of a difference. The radar it will get would still lack search functionality seen with other SPAA at the BR, making up for the added APDS capacity.
The anti tank capability also doesn’t seem too powerful when compared to IFVs at similar BRs like the M3 Bradley or BMP-2, with a bit better autocannon firepower in exchange for no ATGMs.
So unless the change is historical, it just seems unfair to remove because “muh SPAA should only fight aircraft”.
The most frustrating part of SPAA is that most of the time there is nothing to fight and not enough targets for all SPAA of the team, so having secondary roles like the capability to attack ground vehicles or the scouting of later SAMs (that often can’t engage ground targets) is important to make them enjoyable to play.
I’m going to cry. I mean, technically correct, but it took them 3 years and somehow just managed to do the option people weren’t asking for again.
I’d personally have been very happy with a 7.7 AA but you know.

I’m hoping it’s just assisted targeting that’s been reported and unactioned for ages. Also, if the SAP (which is also incorrect) is such a problem also remove the AP belt. Just leave the default and HE one, or hell, just the HE one with 1 AP round per 3 HE ones.

because the audio engine in this game is totally not a piece of junk that has the working rota of the average french workers union.
Dont get me wrong the falcon and DCA are the weakest of the 8.3-8.7 SPAA tumours on the game but it was disgustingly OP from just holding W, without APDS its still pretty strong up close with a little more positioning work, just cant crossmap wipe lights anymore.
WT has inherant issues with damage model calculations and a blatantly moronic way to model APHE which benefits spamcanons far too much. it doesnt matter if youre the greatest player the universe will ever see youre still getting shredded by them
Or really anyone of the spam weapons, at 8.3 to 9.0 its cannons, at top tier it is the Kh 38.

my personal most hated one is the begleitpanzer. marder hulls are stupid tanky for a tin can, obnoxious solid shot spam that will take a barrel and lower plate you way faster than a BMP2m can and I-TOW is a good shotgun.

Agree, most of the time at 9.3ish area I play the Badger as a “autocannon” light tank and I always get Germany as a teammate but 2S38 is just as annoying, with only slight differences on the 2 lists of annoying “features” of both
Imagine complaining about the Falcon when the BMPT exists…
