I think ALL SPAA should have HE belts only and not be able to deal with tanks at all.

Problem with Falcon that it has more than 4 times more (~180 shells) APDS than most of SPAAs (40 shells)
Having APDS removed and being moved down would be a buff.
Falcon right now is nerfed due to having APDS ruining its BR.
It’s time for its APDS to be removed, and Gaijin to reduce the BR to a good level for SPAA duty.
If Falcon keeps APDS I keep never playing it cause I refuse to play it in its garbage state.
At least if Gaijin screws up and forgets to move it down, it being garbage without APDS means it can lower BR.
But it being garbage with APDS means it was never going to change BR.

For SPAAs that rely on guns with limited effective range against air units, removing their ability to defend themselves against enemy ground units also indirectly nerfs their AA, because they are less likely to survive enemy tanks outside the spawn point. There is a reason why we find Gepards and Falcons anywhere on the battlefield.
not that they struggle at their BRs by any means. almost spaded the chieftain marksman today both from griefing tanks and vapourising planes (ww2-korean war planes have no business seeing 70s-80s spaa units)
far better than it is right now where SPAAs kill tanks more than tanks kill SPAA

It also has a chance of not lowering BR just like R2Y2, Vampire, and B-66B does.
If Gaijin plans to remove APDS of Falcon, then they should’ve also initiate initial BR buff down from 8.3 to 8.0.
Keeping it 8.3 without APDS will make no buff on Falcon, making it forgotten instead.

B-66, Vampire, and R2Y2 haven’t been nerfed at their current BRs.

Though I can’t think of any vehicles that have been nerfed to prevent being moved up and being moved up anyway, or nerfed and not moved down at this time at this time.
Usually stuff moves down, whether it’s instant or takes a while.
R2Y2s had their air spawn removed, then after that they moved up to 7.7, then to 8.0.
B-66 has had no changes.
And Vampire has had no changes since being 8.7. Vampire just suffers Spitfire & Zero syndrome: People turn fight them far too often.
Honestly, I just wonder why comparing Falcon (which will get forgotten in worst-case-scenario) with B-66, Vampire or R2Y2, which are already forgotten, becomes ‘false-equivalence’?
You are misusing the term.
Microscopically, you might be right. Falcon got APDS nerf. and Vampire, R2Y2, or B-66 didn’t got direct nerf.
But, macroscopically, you are wrong. They are similar.
Will have a superior vehicle in the same BR, and will be forgotten.

i think he is right. Who will want to play a minor nation, if it hasent a prise? Expl: Falcon in britan, R3 with recloiless rifels, etc
if these nation didnt have these stuff, i personnaly wound give much love on the grind.
Top tier spaa are defenceless for the most part - why should mid tier spaa be any different?
I would support removal of anything but he rounds for all mid tier spaa - light tanks are miserable to play currently and it would be a very welcome change for me.
That or actually fix 30mm auto cannons but that requires effort and work so they won’t do that.
I think better to give Falcon 9.0 than take away APDS. I use it with Chieftain 10/900 and ZA set up anyway. if it loses APDS i think BR should be 6.7. it won’t be much stronger than Zerstrorer. But I better play 9.0 current Falcon than 6.7 without APDS.
Top tier SPAA 1 click detroy all air in tetris menu. Falcon is not capable of that. Much fun playin Skink? It won’t much difference.
It should be going to 7.7 at the maximum. The Yenisei (7.7) has a radar at that BR (why?)
There is no reason on the grounds of “balance” for it to stay where it is.

I’d say Falcon will have much more lighter targets to shoot at in 8.3 than in 7.7.
