I believe gaijin should add a crew skills reset option due to the fact that they don’t give enough information on what it will improve in particular. I mean, certain options like: Leadership, Tank Driving, Targeting, Range Finding, and Weapon Reloading all make sense. The real problem is the repair skills.
A new player might be looking for a way to improve their repair time in a tank and might stumble across the logistical services. When I first started playing this game ( 2019 ), I invested most of my crew skill points into Repair Speed, and Repair Rank, thinking I would get faster repair times. Instead, I don’t have to wait another hour or two for my vehicle to finish repairing from cooldown (I’d still have like 13 days left) .
All I have say is, gaijin needs this feature, I don’t care if gaijin makes it costs like 100k SL to reset crew skills, they just need to add it. For me personally, I feel it will be a pretty big Quality of Life improvement, and help new players.
When I joined the game 483 days ago, the first thing I did was to acquire knowledge. This included which crew skills are important and which are not.
There is a huge community that has produced videos on these topics. If you are not willing to read in the game itself then at least try to find the information elsewhere BEFORE I give out points.
Basically what would happen now if we allow a crew reset.
I would no longer have to buy new crews! I would reset and reskill the skills when I feel like flying and when I feel like tanking again I would do it all over again.
Not everybody’s first thought is to min max the game as soon as they download it. Also, many people say learn as you go along and enjoy yourself first of all. Being permanently stuck with a mistake you made as a noob is just not it.
Which is only possible if you have millions of SL saved up because I cannot imagine somebody doing that over and over again. And how will you train crews for a lineup?
You have a point, but only covers 1/4 of the real deal.
1- You are not representative of most players experience with this or any game, just like I`m also probably not, and the META is never the general goal for any gamer, we all know that.
2- Balancing how this would work is easier than you make it to be, and the flaws you are pointing out are only exploitable for rich people or kids who spend their parents money in WT.(if the issue is people exploiting the games mechanics because of money they could spend to go around grinds etc... My friend this is already an issue all over the place for years, so this wouldnt affect the current state of the player base and game, I would argue it makes it more fair, specially that like any other game they would lock the reset under a cost.
3- You are adding things that fall in the realm of preferences as a source of truth for everyone and your argument, unfortunately, preferences dont have a right or wrong as their are individual to any given person, now, this doesnt make your point invalid as its true, FOR YOU, but again not representative of any big margin of players by any means.
