Gaijin seems perfectly fine with allowing nations face each other in Air RB, but with so many people queuing as USSR - Why aren't USSR vs USSR battles happening?

I’ve played a lot of battles in 10.3 range, even when the queues as USSR were long.

But for some reason, I’ve never faced where Zoviet tanks meet Soviet tanks.

With queue being so dead, I had an amazing amount of night battles even. I had maybe at most 10 in last year, but with terminator being added, I keep getting them a lot more often.

Hope the BMPT keeps causing this, I love night battles and I’d like to get them more often

I actually had a USSR vs USSR battle once

A new matchmaking was partially rolled out, I think one of its new features is the reduction but not completely wiping of mixed battles in ground battles matchmaking, it’s been very uncommon but certainly not completely gone from my experience. As you pointed, night battles been incredibely common which is a nice thing, and wish it was a common thing outside of peak times.

I’ve been saying for awhile now that they should get rid of factions at higher br’s, it’s completely random anyway and would allow for better matchmaking if they made teams random.
