Gaijin, please fix the Heli grind

Good morning everyone, I’m here on the forum to kindly ask Gaijin to review the helicopter grind. Currently, the helicopter grind in the game is VERY MASSIVE. I’ve been trying to level up a Mi-24 at 9.7 that costs 360K XP for 3 days now, and now I’ll have to research another one for 370K XP, and the only difference between the two is the cannon, meaning a cannon costs 370K XP! This is unbearable. The only vehicles with such high values are top-tier ones, and leveling them up is faster because the bonus XP from modifications of other vehicles helps (which is not the case for helicopters…). Some may say this is a strategy from Gaijin to encourage players to buy premium helicopters, but even using them, the grind remains super slow and far away! Helicopter matches are extremely boring; please do something. To get to the Mi-35 at 10.7, I’ve had to grind about 1 million XP—that’s absurdly a lot!

edit ! : I made the post after researching the helicopters using ground vehicles. I have talismans on 3 vehicles, and even so, it took me the whole weekend to research this second Mi-24

Just… Use your tanks? You obviously have a high-tier lineup selected that’s perfectly capable of grinding them.

It’s a sad state of affairs, unfortunately it has been completely overlooked.

It’s like they said “we introduced this boring ahh mode, now you don’t have to deal with Ka-50 spam, enjoy” but did not bother to fix anything else.

Yes, I hate how updates are implemented without any care in this game. We give our money and time, and this is what we get…

Grinding them is the easy part, spading them is hell

Even with redirecting tank xp into helicopters it’s an absolute butt-quaking asshole of a grind once you get your first heli; and even if you end up with the one you want, enjoy flying it stock for a good long while. Unless you go heli PVE but I’d rather watch paint dry.

Have you considered you’re grinding a Rank VI vehicle with a Rank VII lineup in a game mode that less rewards for a well played match?

Being able to use tank RP for helis would have been massive if tank grinding wasnt so damn slow. If we had the option to grind with planes i would personally knock out a tree per week.

yeah ahve booth premiums helis use them probabbly 10 times all together… Just not worthy

Ah yes, nothing says ‘the grind is fine’ like having to use completely different vehicles to grind them.

Especially those times they literally spawn right under you so you just suddenly get a bill with nothing you could do before you even knew they were there.

Helicopter grind with tanks is absolutely unfair.
There is no other word that describes it.

Because you need to use for example rank VI tanks to research rank VI heliopter. But the problem is rank VI heli has far far far more rp needed than rank VI tank. Example: Bo105 needs 370k. T72 only 220k.
So it takes forever to reasearch heli with tank.
Oh and the spading bonus u get from tanks just dissapear when researching heli.

And the Heli EC is just torture to play.

im pretty sure the spading bonuses are just applied to the last tank you were researching

Nobody is saying the grind is fine, I’m saying that there’s a pretty clear workaround to heli grinding.

I have tried spading Z-9WA and dropped it. It’s the worst (maybe MD-500 too) grind I have ever seen in this game.

There is an alternative that still sucks, ground RB economy is garbage and having to grind millions upon millions of RP that doesn’t progress your ground tree is also garbage.

It’s only worthwhile for those who have completed the tree.
