So here we go back to historical matchmaking/balancing. Giving something something historical but no one else has a counterpart? Thats supposed to be fair?
Leopards are not in trouble, doesn’t need 5 seconds reload.
Abrams was in trouble, they got 5 seconds reload as balancing.
Leclercs had 6 seconds, after a bug report, that speed got fixed to 5 seconds.
Challenger 2 have 5 seconds already and they always had.
You are right, however that got fixed, it doesn’t matter that they listened to community and fixed it i guess?

So why do you think Chinese vehicles should recieve a major buff? We already know we don’t add everything vehicles ever had for balance reasons. Unless you also want the ZTZ96s to move to 11.3 theres no basis for spall liners in-game.

how is any of that an impediment to add a mechanic already present in game… if there is no counterpart so you just suck it up, and if it start outperforming its peer you just raise its br. thats why we have a matchmaking.

You can still hear it at the same ranges, it is still far too loud for what it is.
You should hear the M1’s tracks before you hear the engine, that is still not the case.

And the 96A should stay 10.0 with the spall liner. At best 10.3.
If you think a spall liner would be enough to move them to 11.3, you’re simply delusional.
A spall liner certainly wasn’t enough to move the Strv122s and 2A7 to 12.7.

You think i’m lying? Ask @smin1080p how their dev team works. Ask him why the U.S Still don’t have any fire and forget missiles on the Apache, ask him why gaijin won’t give the apache different fire modes for the hellfires, ask him why he uses smoke as some cope, meanwhile the khrizantema has radar guided missiles that fire through smoke. Ask yourself alot of questions as to why Russian tanks got ERA before everyone else, Ask why the KA-50 sits at lower BR than other nations helis. Ask why they haven’t added spall liners to other nations tanks first " i dare you.

Because the mechanic doesn’t affect that type of vehicle in that BR range.
Not how that works. I’m pretty sure all the Chinese players would seethe when they see their ZTZ96 with spall liners got put up to 11.0 because its now much better, and China is left with zero 10.0 lineup. Gaijin restricts the systems used by vehicles to keep them in a different BR range so that the tech tree still has vehicles in that lineup.
The highest tier vehicles, sure why not give them a spall liner? But only if we can have ALL the tanks of that area to get them

Okay, so that makes @Lolman345 , @sartt and @BlueRooster57 (somewhat, at least he’s actually talking about the Chinese vehicles).
Three American players coming to threads completely unrelated to America to talk about their nation and how their tanks are suffering/being unjustly nerfed (despite the reload buff easily putting them amongst the best tanks at top tier). I see this so often on the forums and now I see it happening in my own thread.

If the Ariete AMV is 11.7, then the Strv 122B+ is 13.7. And the Strv122B+ with spall liners is 14.7.
Yet in-game they’re the same BR. Because the game doesn’t work the way you think it is.
And even if the ZTZ96A were to get spall liners, it still wouldn’t be justified even a single BR step increase because the platform itself simply isn’t 10.7+ material. They would just be slightly more survivable. Barely, considering Chinese tanks don’t get the magic Russian indestructible autoloaders…

You’re comparing two completely different missiles in two completely different platforms.
The khrizantema is still a beam riding missile, not a fire and forget one, and it is in a tank with a very limited radar, when it is mounted in a helicopter it cant track trough smoke.

The only time I mentioned American was comparing ZTZ96s to other 10.0-10.3 vehicles, I simply listed M1.

Huh, I guess that makes the Challenger 2s some of the best vehicles in the game, wait no people are still raving about them, what about the Leclercs, nope, people are still calling those B tier tanks, oh wait, would you look at that, people are complaining about all of the mentioned vehicles in this thread not having spall liners.
Its almost like this is a uniform problem across multiple nations, had I hopped in here and said “the leclerc sucks because it has no spall liners” nobody would have bat an eye, but the M1s, yep, cant speak about those when comparing their faults to other nations plights.

Ngl I would rather get a more powerful shell on the Leclerc than a spall liner. It’s got like ~560mm of pen? Not nearly enough. Less than 3BM60 but atleast most Russian top tier tanks have armor.
