Up until recently, my game ran fine. Suddenly with the last few patches, my game crashes constantly and gives me “Freeze Detected” before spazzing out.
I don’t know what it is or why, but it’s getting annoying and has caused me to crash or die constantly for the last couple days.
And no, it is not my PC. Other games with higher spec requirements run just fine.
This Timer is becoming annoying. I had no control over my crash when your game froze and crashed the moment I loaded in.
Verify game files, clear the cache folder in the game folder, ensure the antivirus you have is exempting the folder, not just the exe actions.
There are other things to do, but seeing as you’ve mentioned no attempts to do anything, these are the first steps.
It is not my PC. My entire friend group of 10+ people don’t simultaneously all have hard crashes occur often because of computer issues. Many of them have top of the line PC components and WarThunder still causes them freezes. Hell, we’ve even had the game freeze all four of our computers at the same time and spoken to others in that match who also experienced it.
I was told this exact same thing when WarThunder had the RAM leak. I was told how it was my PC’s hardware and that it wasn’t War Thunder only for a year later, Gaijin admits it was WarThunder and fixes it within weeks.
The issue is, that no matter how many share your issues, you still need to diagnose and check that it is that, not just corruption or a bad setup.
This is why people get all antsy about being asked to do things, because everyone says they share the issue, yet they also aren’t checking.
Should WarThunder crash my Graphics driver 3 times in the last 2 days?
No other game I have does that.
Many people proclaim that War Thunder is the only thing going awry… But it’s not the same and it also doesn’t mean squat.
Like seriously… It’s annoying that people moan and complain about being asked to do mere troubleshooting, to debate and ignore the point.
But it’s alright, you go and chase it up, but the first thing anyone is going to tell you is to do what I said.
I’m not going to bother bug reporting when they gaslight me. It’s always “My PC” and then a year later, Gaijin actually realizes it’s not and fixes it. I have an Issues post about WarThunder Chomping Memory badly and they told me it was my PC. A year later, they actually fixed it. Now the problem is gone.
This is not how you handle these things.
You’d rather people jump to conclusions and make connections that just aren’t there.
Being that something was fixed, it was more likely that someone reported it after going through the correct procedure to highlight that it wasn’t their install or setup.
Hello
In order to find the cause of the crash and diagnose if it’s something local or the game causing a crash, please see the following: Knowledge Base - War Thunder Wiki
With this, please create a bug report here with the necessary files and we will be able to further assist. Sadly without them the issue can not be properly reported as it is not something replicable: Community Bug Reporting System
The steps FlyingDoctor has provided above are also key in ensuring it is not something local to your PC. Simply because it doesn’t happen in other games is not a guarantee it is still not something local.
