Gaijin Damage Model

Game is extremely Annoying when It comes to their extremely cool damage models and arbitrary changes. i remember when they consistently obliterated the Japanese tech tree with constant Incessant nerfs to their type 89 ifv’s Natural ability to fight. For some extremely odd Unreasonable Concept, their terrible damage modeling has Kept being Integrated if Not made worse with every new Gaijin update. So Unreasonable in fact that i have Considered for some time never purchasing any of their premiums for years at this point because i’m so incredibly tired of how atrocious their changes are, and the last major premium i remember buying is the Ka-50 - which even to this day overperformS.

you know russia just suffers sooooooooo much

(i drove forward with my w key, killed like 4 enemy tanks, then spawned in a ka-50 and spawn camped them. they couldn’t even hit me with their rolands because i just parried their missiles with mine.)

hopefully some day gaijin devs realize that no, a tank will not survive the front of their vehicle being caved in by a 1200mm penning 5kg he tandem warhead. also i find it extremely amusing how tow-2bs function better against nato vehicles than the russian ones they were designed to destroy, because reasons.

just a note on one of the clips: the top attack missiles are completely bugged since a few updates, I used to be able to get consistent damage on turrets with the bradley (despite the god awful targetting system). Now it’s just awful, it never explodes on target and when it does it hits completely random spots, usually tracks.

Missiles in general have terrible spalling and post pen characteristics, and act like if they weren’t filled with explosive when impacting light targets. It’s a global problem with the damage model…

Not just missiles, but spalling in general can be absurdly inconsistent. But yes, missiles are by far the most noticeable.
