You should try comparing vehicles as the sum of all of their parts instead of hyper focusing on 1 aspect at a time.

Anyway people hate on E8 just because it isnt Panther and cant pen Tiger II with serial turret frontally.

How terrible, a heavy tank full BR higher is immune to my gun in frontal arc. I hope you people keep this in mind next time you complain that your heavy got front penned frontally by some light tank with post-WW2 HEAT.

You get uptiered 75% of the time, so the E8 would be facing 6.7s fairly often.

Yeah it might do well against 5.7. But Tiger 2s, IS2s, Jagdpanther, etc… not so well.

Ok, I should have looked hear sooner.

The A3E8 is great(one of the best Shermans in-game). One of my favourite Sherman variants in-game, making US 5.7 one of my favourite line-ups.

Congratulations! You figured out what an uptier is, same goes for other 5.7s, T-34-85, M4A3E2, M36B1, Tiger I, and more, they all suffer at 6.7

I have to disagree on this one.
An uptier is part of the gameplay and I agree to have them every now and then.

HOWEVER

Some vehicles are CONSTANTLY uptiered, and that’s not an exaggeration, I’ve done stats if you’d like to see what’s currently going on.
This makes some vehicles completely unplayable as they are constantly facing things that they can do nothing against …
The uptier frequency should be taken into consideration for vehicles with bad guns or heavy armour.

Issue with uptier frequency is that it can change by time of the day, so you cant really account for it with BR changes for example.

You think the E8 is equivalent to Tiger 1?

M36B1/2 has a 90mm gun with access to HEAT. It deserves the 5.7.

The Jumbo, with it’s 75mm M3 is overtiered at 5.7 just like the E8. So your comparison is kinda crappy.

That’s why stats are used … I’ve tested multiple nations at multiple br and there clearly is a tendency.
Time of day is not a relevant factor anymore, there just seems to be not enough players and honestly I’m not surprised

That’s just a very silly sentence. Tiger I is a heavy tank, Sherman E8 a medium. Different roles
