I see gaijin fixed the F-2’s indestructible wings from dev if nothing else.

Gaijin really needs to improve their spawn points. Why they are obsessed with not only everyone spawning in a tiny area, but also not really giving them much thought

They do seem wierdly obsessed with having the spawn areas for every gamemode be really really small.

Practically spawn in other tanks, spawn in trees, only 1 or 2 ways out of spawn so it’s a big city traffic jam trying to get out. In everything gaijin does this thinking applies: “here’s this big map…but the objectives are all in the center of the map 200m from each other” “we gave you 2 spawn points, if you let it randomly decide you’ll all just randomly spawn at the same one.” “we know you’re in top tier but hopefully you like single point Battle mode on this 2 block map”

Too much tight spawn?💁‍♂️
Video is on x0.25 speed so it actually happened within few secs after start, how should i ever react?

Gaijin absolutely needs to take another look at spawn position logic, both air AND ground. Air has this example, and in ground, there’s no hierarchy of what spawns in which position so you constantly have slow tanks trying to cut off fast tanks or fast tanks turning too tight in front of slow ones at the start, causing a traffic pile up which can have consequences on the match as a whole. There needs to be more space between players, and there needs to be a hierarchical system of what type spawns in what position.

Honestly, that’s the saddest thing to realize is there’s so many frustrating little things in the game that show how little Gaijin actually cares about the game. They’ll visually revamp an entire map to make it look pretty, but functionally it’s still the same map with all the same issues; just given a nice shiny facade in the hopes of covering up the glaring issues underneath.

Ardennes (winter) has one of the worst south spawns. You can comfortably bet that your team will be stuck on the hills unable to move because of the field of fire into your spawn.

yeah, there’s almost no good way to try to move East from that spawn at top tier, as the other spawn has a strong hill to fire from and you’re just out in the open. I’m not even sure i’d call it map design at this point, i swear they just sit an intern down and have him fiddle with the terrain tool for 20 minutes and then push it through. Even their fixes are like that “so we adjusted the terrain height here for 20m outside of the spawn…but the other 100m is still totally open so you can get shot from across the map trying to leave spawn to get to the closest cap.” So many of the issues with the game are because of actual design problems that they just refuse to address.

we’re going to lose the placement on the map argument. gaijin has their “reasons” for making us spawn in the places we spawn.

the argument we have a shot with winning with gaijin is spacing out and hierarchical placement in the defined zones

In general i agree with the sentiment of disbursing spawn but this was very much your own fault.

There have been times in an air spawn where the server popped a friendly plane in to existence practically on top of me.
