Gaijin actually believes the Python 3, is a better missile than the AIM-9M

Ur personal experiance doesnt matter
Python 3 are flare hungry and 9m isnt thats a fact
And i played

And i played the entire israeli tree so ik

So what is the magical force making 9Ms miss every shot… if its not flare spam?

Any other TT missile- you have to cut burner and crank putting the flares in the missiles path.

9M = fly striaight amd flare spam.

Any other non IRCCM = fly straight and flare spam

R73/ magic 2 fly straight and spam as much as you like= death

Doesnt seem very balanced and as the 9M is just as easy to flare i stand by pythons> 9M

HAS to be ragebait

No 9ms are just straight up mid AF

Bro
Watch toturial on how irccm works

Imo shut off IRCCM is better than gate width IRCCM, takes much more flares to defeat (at least somewhat side aspect).

Rear and front aspect, if you know there’s a 9M, it’s usually a 2 flare tho.

Flare while changing aspect, 9m has iog

Or you have absolute no idea how tracking suspension works and you try to use screwdriver as a shovel. Its… not going to be very good at the job.

How to evade a 9M- flare

How to evade any other non IRCCM missile- flare

What else is there to know?

No evading required, not even a little.
They fly straight when missile is at their 6, spam flares and the missile misses.

???

Just spamming flares doesnt work with any other TT missile

How to launch tracking suspension missile and have good odds of scoring hit: not from a frigging rear or front aspect.

How to launch gatewidth missile and not have it one tap flared - rear aspect, preferably up close.

So even if fired at direct 6 it doesnt care about the after burner at 100%

Many times the 9L ignores flares if burner is on… yet the 9M doesnt

Excuse me sir while i get a side on aspect, just lol

Tracking suspension literally doesn’t care about afterburner or flare luminosity. Are there two heat sources in seeker view? Turn seeker off and fly on inertial guidance following last known trajectory.

And last time I’ve checked getting within 3-4km side aspect, including above is easier than getting within <1km rear aspect for gatewidth seekers, or even 9L/R60M where flares might get out of seeker view before they start cooking at full strength paired with average 4th gen churning 5digit amount of thrust. And in this game, engine thrust = heat signature.

Best side shot miss i can find.

2nd 9M… any other TT fox 2 hits

Cant see how you can justify flying straight spamming flares and a so called good missile misses every time. Its trash level.

“spamming flares OP” is rich coming from Gripen player.

Besides, in this very scenario every missile in game, including “IIR” like 9X would have been instantly spoofed.

Not rly cuz they have optical lock so gl flaring that

9x2 doesn’t have optical lock it uses seekershutoff + gatewidth, similar to python 4, python 5, iris t etc

In game, “IIR” is merely tracking suspension+gatewidth, latter being cranked up to 11 ie 0.25 degree. Sure its tight hole even by R73/Magic2 standards, but when I’ve run math, you get 10m diameter circle ie F-16 wingspan at 2.2km, above that odds of missile getting flared increase significantly.

You said earlier side is best. 2nd missile is side on and above…

So I have to get a protractor?

Still its not gonna be fooled just by a flare spam
