Gaijin actually believes the Python 3, is a better missile than the AIM-9M

Its always been assumed by the community that Gaijin must believe Python 3 missiles are better than AIM-9M or at least equivalent… this aircraft release with its modification placements of the AIM-9M BEFORE the Python 3 solidifies that belief.

How can we get the message across that IRCCM missile will always be better in WT? Its just silly to think a missile that can be defeated by a single flare in all aspects would ever be considered better than a missile with IRCCM.

Its israeli?
Then it must be nerfed
Thats gaijin logic

How about we shut up and enjoy we don’t have to grind out a rank 3 mod to get useful IR missiles for once.

Because Aim-9Ms might as well be Python 3s lmao
IRCCM? Since when? Mine always get single flared from a perfect rear aspect shot on an afterburning plane.

Bruh
It isnt gate width irccm its best from side aspect not rear aspect

You’d think people would figure this out after 2 years

Three flares then. Only times my Aim-9Ms have ever hit anything was the opponent was unaware of me. Meanwhile Magic 2 and R73 can be used at just about any aspect except front and practically ignore flares. I also rarely die to Aim-9Ms, easiest missiles in 13.0+ to flare.

This
Doesnt matter where its fired from
The enemy just flys straight and spams flares= miss

Worst TT IR missile by far

You can use Python-3 in high speed head-on merges at like 1.2km separation. The target doesn’t have enough time to react and the missile doesn’t have enough time to course correct to any flares so just hits the target.

Been awhile now but I had fun with them on the Netz;
1:39 is an example of Python-3 in a close in head-on.

This isnt how it works pls watch toturial on irccm missiles and u will understand
I agree aim9m is the worst now
It got changed a bit and now can lock flares when it couldnt do so
But its still much better then python 3 with no irccm at all

Definitely. That moment when I feel like the Aim-9L got the changes the M was supposed to get lol
That thing has been ignoring flares in ARB at 12.0
Proof being this Mig-23 popping flares and my 9L completely ignoring them.

This is just blatantly false unless your enemy is trash to begin with, not to mention a majority of players preflare.

A missile with IRCCM is 100% better every single time.

Edit: and the video you linked is nearly 2 years old, back when the Netz was top tier. Really not an accurate depiction of todays lobby.

Exactly.

Sure the Pythons performance may be better than the AIM-9M it doesn’t really matter when everyone has 60+ counter measures, preflares and even some jets have MAWS.

Theres no way anyone can legitimately think that Pythons are better than ANY missile with IRCCM at 12.7+ a pretty clear case of this is Kfir C.10, you dont see anyone running Python 3s after they get 4 Derbys unlocked because they are blatantly trash at 13.0+.

While jets that carry missile such as Magic 2s or AIM-9M like the F-16C/D Barak II or Rafale will take a single IR missile (In this case AIM-9M and Magic 2s) due to targets multipathing.

Exactly. Even the worst irccm missile (r-27t) I’d rather take that over the python 3
