G91 R-4 needs to urgently go to 9.3

Four aim9Bs and four fiddy cals is worse armament than the cougar gets at 8.3. The g91r4 has little going for it except good initial turn and decent low speed acceleration, it gets clapped in a fight by pretty much any other jet at 8.3 8.7 9.0 or 9.3

The worst thing they can do is spam aim9bs at you that you have to keep dodging, but that’s easy to do.
They are a minor annoyance and definitely not 9.3 material. If you wanna complain about something undertiered with four missiles complain about the scimitar, that thing has actual bonkers flight performance and amazing guns to back them up with.

Still remember those premium G.91R/4 spammers ripped wings by over G since 2019

I thought it was unreasonable for the supersonic F-100 armed with four AIM-9E missiles to have the same BR as the subsonic R-4 equipped with four AIM-9B missiles

Maybe in isolation. but R-4 has been terrorizing lobbies with it’s sheer existence. it has to be something like 50% of the lobbies got R-4 and combined together they can kil the opposing team 2 times over.

Why does it matter that there is a worse F-86F-40 with 4x AIM-9Bs?
F9F-8 Cougar is 8.3.
Scimitar F Mk1 is 8.7.
A-4Es are 8.7.

On another note, why is this thing getting spammed so much recently?

I’ve seen people imply that it was due to the Battlepass glitch…but I’m not connecting the dots. AFAIK, the G.91 R/4 wasn’t available for warbonds…

This doesn’t matter. 9Bs are a massive tool to have at the BR and CAN often get kills when used correctly. (Read energy correctly on the enemy and fire when they are low energy)

R/4 is not that serious of an aircraft

Especially since the G.91 R/4 has 4 of them, compared to the R/1 and R/3 which don’t get any at the same BR. Logically it would be a higher BR than those, and at the same BR as something like the IAR-93B.

It could be 9.0, but 9.3 is delusional, especially with the current BR compression.

literally true for many Rank5+ premiums,…

I don’t know about R1 but R3 has much better and more reliable guns, that on itself is a balancing factor, much better gunfighter.

OP is a genius mastermind, he will cause all jets to be decompressed upwards: G91s will feed the stats of all higher BR jets, which will send them up in BR, which in turn will let lower BR jets survive better because higher BR jets got decompressed upwards, and finally the G91s will go back down because they would get bullied hard by everyone.

no he’s not,… he wanted F-86F40 to go 8.7 aswell.

performances+results charts demonstrate that F-86F40 are better aircraft than G.91’s.

isn’t the G.91Y/YS, which is a perfect superior version, already available? Wouldn’t this alone be enough to explain…?

The problem is not the R/4 but the R/3 and R/1 br that is too high compared with the enemies. The R/3 has been rised because of the CAS efficency in mixed battle (BR in ground RB should be splitted from the air RB one), the R1 just because the Italian TT is played mostly by very skilled and veteran players (new players rarely choose Italy, Japan or other nations that aren’t USA/Germany/USSR)

Even then, it’s rather situationnal - all the results shows that G.91’s in a whole are not the problem.

it happens that many old 7.0-7.3 BR aircrafts were send up, to let WWII Jets (Yak-15/17/Me262A and He-162) at lower BR, because those have really poor performances.

but at the same time, Gaijin continously put pressure over the 9.0 BR, adding more and more Mach1+/2+ aircrafts, themselves pushed down by A-10’s and Su-25’s

the whole JET ERA gameplay needs an entire overhaul:

  • Bigger maps for current 10.7+

  • No more UI appearing over ennemies for BR 10.0+ (most if not all does have radars and RWR, without forgetting the Contrail effect appearing over a certain altitude)

  • a re-organisation from BR 7.0 to 14.3, with the intent to rescale the whole JET ERA into 7.0-16.0 BR (bare minimum)

  • a scaled BR based on Performances rather than Results:
    Hence why Venom FB.4 being held hostage at 8.7, while F-86A and MiG-15 early being 8.0, as an exemple
    or alike Mig-21’s MF and SMT that Gaijin always wanted (and finally done it) to get them down in BR, compressing even more the whole 8.3-10.3 range
    similar things aer done at higher BR too

  • a rework of objectives and roles regarding rewards should be done:
    we have Fighter Aircrafts playing Bombing role 99% time (F-4’s / F-5’s / MiG-21F’s / F-104’s sometimes,…)
    we have CAS aircrafts playing Fighter role 80% of the time (because they can’t reach bases before fighters) (Su-7’s, A-10’s, Su-25’s, Alphajets [mostly TH one], …)
    we have Bomber aircrafts playing CAS Role 50% of the time (because they can’t find a base when approaching middle of the map) (H-5’s/ Il-28’s / B-57’s / So4050’s Vautours,… let alone Tu-4’s and B-29’s)

All because of a system that prioritize Grind over Gameplay, in undersized playable maps, in which airspawns is given to “make it worth” but which sensibly destroyed the gameplay even more.

(similar things could be said in Ground Battles, with IFV’s and Map sizes, for tanks normally able to pinpoint kill each others at ranges up to 5-6 km, but all playing at 300m from each others,…)
