As @da12thmonkey said near the start of the thread, it’s about a 1994-95 vehicle.
He explained it here;
The 1994-95 is I suppose based on the lights moving from the low to high position from 1994, but prior to the introduction of the front stowage bins in 1996.
why is everyone so scared of a slower tank with the same mediocre gun as the fox? is it just because of the MASSIVE skill issue most players had against the fox or do they think the 30mm apds is better than it really is?
I agree that things like the BTR and marders shouldn’t be in the game as spamcanons and missile spam makes everything suck however this is not a spamcanon like a BTR nor is it a missile spammer, its not super fast (slower than a leopard 2) nor does it have a solid gun to fight things at 7.7 head on, tank gameplay is still stronger overall. This will be a tank that only kills you if you suck as most tanks have the speed and agility to counter it
You’re talking about the RARDEN as if it’s some blatantly undertiered weapon of mass destruction…
To offset, it’s unstabilised, which means fire on the move isn’t that easy, it’s got a horrible fire rate, and at the minute it would appear Gaijin are trying to nerf it (despite the fact it actually needs a buff at the mid to long ranges)
Oh I guess we can do without the Luchs then…
The Brits have been begging for more CVR(T)s, which are our iconic reconnaisance vehicles, for literal years. I doubt most people quite frankly agree with you, the Scimitar looks to be an exciting new addition to the 7.7 lineup.
I despise these rat vehicles so much. They’re fine at BRs 10.0+ where they don’t really have a mobility advantage over MBTs. Gaijin is adding IFVs/recon vehicles into a tank game with no infantry, the role they’re supposed to perform doesn’t exist in this game. So they push their BRs so ridiculously low you end up with Gulf War vehicles being in the same games as WWII tanks. The BR bracket around 6-8 is an absolute cesspol right now with all the rats just racing eachother to the cap.
Gaijin need to stop trying to nerf the round (when it’s actually underperforming) and simply nerf the traverse rates. These were all manual traverse turrets and should be far slower than 60 degrees.
Think of it this way. A good gunner is going to get 3-4 rotations per second with training and adrenaline. That means each turn of the manual traverse is turning the turret 20 degrees per rotation on high gear if it’s 3 rotations a second, or 15 degrees per rotation on high gear if it’s 4 rotations a second. That just sounds way too high for a manual traverse turret. It’s likely closer to 24 - 30 degrees (or 8 - 10 degrees per rotation on high gear).
Lo and behold, a light tank has a mobility advantage over, say, a heavy tank
If you want to take aim at something, take aim at Gaijin’s compression. CVR(T)s are an iconic vehicle, used by many a nation, and were an inevitable addition.
Don’t mind that thing called Scouting existing, it’s not like Scouts can Scout… oh wait
Funny how RECON vehicles can be used to scout for INFANTRY and TANKS. Scimitar were also used as scouts in Operation Granby for the CHALLENGER 1 and WARRIOR and M1A1 ABRAMS.
